DL speed is still too low for me

total speed is around 600 kbytes/s, sometimes peaks at 800 kbytes/s. Using btpd I had stable 1.3 Mbytes/s, that's my bandwidth limit.
Any suggestions on when it will be possible to achieve better DL rate?
Anyone know when i final will be out?

Use transmission-remote application.
List all current torrents (required!)
/mnt/syb8634/bin/transmission-remote -l
remember the ID (first column)
Stop a torrent:
/mnt/syb8634/bin/transmission-remote -t# -S
Replace # with the torrent ID
Hope this helps
Thank you very much, Ger. That's helpful. I've set the priority to low on my 136GB, 200+ file torrent. Crossing fingers. =)
I wonder if you can point me to where the torrent files are actually stored? One thing I'd also like to be able to do, once I get my PCH stable (if that's possible), is move where some of these large torrents reside.
I presume Transmission must save these torrents somewhere, so I'm hopeful I can shut it down, edit the path, move the files, and restart.
Good
news for all who have problem with bandwidth.
For Transmission Remote application users - last build (2.7.4) have bugs IMHO.
Posted newer version 3.0. Will try. Problem the same.

is there a way to apply this update right away or we have to wait for the next beta?

That patch is part of the trunk and thus will not be part of the upcoming 1.41 beta's and final!. I think it will be integrated in the future 1.5 release. Eventually I can create a trunk build as well. but that contains a lot more experimental code!
Hello
I have installed transmission 1.41, no errors..
But now when I try to connect to:
http://192.168.1.107:9091//transmission/web/
I get this massage in Firefox window.
401: Unauthorized
Unauthorized IP Address
Is maybe something wrong with last version?
Do I need to reinstall to earlier version of transmission, how can I do this?
Please help me.
Thank you.

Yeah, a known 'issue' in the latest transmission client. They enable the whitelisting protection for real for the first time. Per default the NMT is configured wrongly, this will brake lots of new users. I created a fix for this in the setup.
Could you post the contents of the file
.transmission/settings.json on your harddisk on the NMT?
Anyone here available for beta testing a new installer?
This installer will have some great advantages over the old one.
Download software
here.
.NET 2.0 required
Already downloaded, start fine the instalation, but as i said only tonight i'm going to full test the installer....

Hello
I have folder tranmission-nmt on nmt harddisk, but I can't find this file.
Here is what I have in this folder:
What now? Did I do something wrong during install? Can I fix this?
Or how can I uninstall 1.41 and install earlier version without such problems?
Thank you.

Ahh, yes, I think the HDX has a different folder layout per default.
Using ftp the hidden files/folders are hidden (files starting with a dot).
Please could you give me a list of all files on your HARD_DISK, using Samba browsing; that is, using windows explorer to use the file sharing on the HDX.
The fastest way if fixing this problem for the HDX is:
create a new folder .transmission on the share, using the samba share, not FTP. Create an empty file called settings.json in it. Restart torrent.
Can anyone tell me where the .transmission (settings folder) is stored on the HDX?

The picture above is not from ftp manager, it's from Samba..."share" folder from hdx-1000 mapped as network drive X
I can't access transmission-nmt by ftp, I get this error:
550 Can't open transmission-nmt: No such file or directory
Regarding your fix, if I create new foder transmission with file settings.json and delete transmission-nmt folder, will I than have again access to old trnasmission (1.22?)
Thanks
br
Too bad that the installer doesnt give the install command itself. You can install torrentwatch without doing anything on the PCH itself! It has to be possible to do the same with this installer!
Transmission-nmt folder is required!
But next to this folder there should be a folder called ".transmission" (note the dot in front).
If this doesn't exist, create that folder (with the dot!!) and create an empty settings.json file inside it.
