works pretty well here from yesterday....finally it seems to be solved the problem of updating torrent status...and after 1.40 is the first version which works almost perfect here...thanks all involving people

hmm ... feels like this beta4 is slower than beta3 for me.
Is it possible to have the beta3 package again ?

I just want to say GREAT work!
The last two versions, 1.50b3 & b4, are some of the best versions I've tried yet, both stability and speed (up & download) are way better than before!

Is it possible to make at masked version of the 1.50b4, so it looks like 1.42?

Yes, same here. Seems slower than beta3. Would also like to be able to install beta3 again.

Personally I think the speed-reduction reports are just the results of normal fluctuations (peers, time of day, load of NMT, position of the moon; who knows) or even 'a gut feeling'.

But for those who would like to revert back to an older beta: I will re-create them this week and put them online. Hoping the previous beta1,2 or 3 working out for you.

But I'd suggest testing the current some more and only go forward regarding versions!

Just installed Beta4 (from Beta2)(using the community installer). With a running torrent in the background and all updated as planned.
Speed remains as before (nice and as it should be) I get here the same speeds as using UT on the PC.

# What I would like to see in future releases is a max seed setting in % or ratio. Per torrent, or in total + the possibility to force seeding.
# and with an upload to skip the "verifying" (as it takes a lot of time)

After 2 days testing i have to thanks all involving people...thsi version is very stable to me......upload speed very stable in the limit which i have put...(80kb/sec) and downloading speed average 1mb/sec or 1.6mb in very good seeding torrent....(just like utorrent in my pc)
And more important to me....with this verison 2 days ago all torrent make as normal update....and not stucking to update status....

I can say....this is the perfect version for me...


It will be good idea to add in future version a max seed setting in % or ratio per torrent , the possibility to force seeding and also the possibility force updating...

I'm sorry but after 48h non-stop using transmission 1.50beta4 with 10 popular torrents, i confirm what i said.
None is finished although they were going well on 1.50beta3. Few peers, poor speed.
To be sure, i started some of the same torrents on my PC with µtorrent and everything was fine.

I know it's surprising since i was very happy with versions beta 1, 2 & 3.

I installed the 1.5 beta4 without any problem but I delete some files by mistake so I reinstalled the NMT applications in order to install the 1.5 beta 4 again.

But now, whatever i do I always obtain this "Error message "request cannot be processed""

I've tried everything but nothing

Can anyone help me?

I also would like to report that I have problems with beta 4...
At first installation everything was fine and fast...
after a while nothing.. No seed, no leech... Even the transmission interface takes ages to load
Now after 1 day, it just sits there.. No network activity, I cannot see transmission..
Restarting doesn't seem to make things better...

After some test, I've seen that the 1.50b4 is very slow in comparaison of the uTorrent client. With the same Torrent files, I have :
- Transmission : 11 peers at 8 KB/s
- uTorrent : 55 Seeders + 88 Leechers at 90 KB/s
(These tests have been done on different day at different hour for both software)

Why is the difference so big !?

Hello, I've just installed 1.5b4 and I had 2 little problems that I write down to improve the client.

1º

After the installation, in the nmt application the torrent status was stooping and the button was starting in grey so I had to restart the popcorn and start the service.

2º

I accessed to the guy and I had the torrent that were downloading and many of the torrent that where downloaded any time. I had to delete all the old ones.

3º
At this moment, is impossible to access the GUI "http://192.168.1.20:9091/transmission/web/" all the time I see time exceeded but the torrent it's working. At the beginning was possible using this link.

4º

I'm trying to add the Gaya interface "http://localhost.drives:8883/HARD_DISK/transmission-nmt/index.cgi" but nothing appears, all the time it's trying.

I'm not sure if I had to fill "localhost.drives" with some date.
