Thanks, that worked! I now have the service installed and running. However it does not work yet. On my pc i have the green check mark and i can watch uzg via the proxy. On the PCH I don't have the checkmark. Any ideas? It does show that the mms is registered.

update: as the mmsservice run on a laptop connected with wireless, i also had to turn off the wireless firewall. Watching uzg now works great on my c-200. thanks for the help and for realizing this service.

As for security-reason: is there a way to only allow de pch to connect to the service without shutting down the whole firewall?

Another problem. Many times when a program starts there is no sound (C200)
I have to turn of the device completely and start it up again. Than it works.

I disconnect the HDMI cable, plug it in again and restart the file / stream i want to play. works for me.

to me it seems that the sony w5500 doesn't make a handshake after playing certain files, like VOB files.

This error happened yesterday - I had just installed 1.1.4. I think it was caused by pressing OK rather than Play.
So it's not strictly speaking a bug: it says clearly to press Play to play.
But with earlier versions simply nothing would happen, it wouldn't crash the proxy.

And this is todays log. The proxy just silently stopped working. I only noticed it just now, because I didn't use it at all.

Directly accessing from PC gives that same error in IE. PCH (A-110)just says "request cannot be processed". Any suggestions?

This logging fragment doesn't really say much. It seems incompleet, or only shows an incorrect call to the proxy.

Create a firewall exception.
Here is a page explaining how:

I think this a better tutorial for your firewall setting

RE: Dutch channel Uitzending gemist. - henkkelder - 01-26-2010 09:11 AM

Ok, next version of MMSProxyService will automatically create a Windows Firewall Exception Smile

RE: Dutch channel Uitzending gemist. - ouderling - 01-26-2010 10:16 PM

henk, gozilla, thanks for your patience with this noob-user. adding the mmsproxyservice-program exception to the exceptions-tab in the windows vista firewall did the job. It works very well ! I'm very much enjoying the uzg functionality of my c200.

RE: Dutch channel Uitzending gemist. - zwollywood - 01-27-2010 11:16 AM

Henk,

Thnx, it also works on my C200. Unfortunately had to read the whole thread from page 1 till 23 to get it working Tongue, but never mind....

To prevent newbees for having to read a lot a give you my workflow to get things working. (I have a C200 and use Win7 Ultimate on my PC)

1) install mmxproxyservice on the pc (like in the manual which is within the ZIP.file)
2) enter a new web app in the C200 (http://www.microchange.nl/uzg)
3) open the web app in the C200 en check the mmsproxy allways on (C200 only)
4) go to the firewall settings in Win 7. Make an exception for mmsproxyservice (it's not in the list, but add it manually by going to the installation folder on your c:\)
5) on the PCH you will be able to see "uitzending gemist",.....but:
* bufferings takes a while (some minutes)
* you will get a tiny screen, which you can enlarge by using the zoom button on your remote
* on a 40" HD TV quality is poor but acceptable if you really want to see something back!

Good luck to you all and a lot of thanks to Henk for the good work Smile

Still have the soundissue. It's mostly after the C200 comes out of standbymode. When playing a UZGprogram, there's no sound.
Off and On and the sound is back.

RE: Dutch channel Uitzending gemist. - moose - 01-27-2010 11:36 AM

No sound on A-110 also. At first play back (after standby) from uzg there is no sound. Playing a short piece from another source (i.e. nas) there is sound, after switching back to uzg it plays also with sound. Some startup issue in uzg?

Appearantly, this is related to the RTSP stream from UZG in combination with the A100 (and others). Reports are that always using the MMSProxy helps solving this problem, but disadvantage is that it will increase loading time for streams from the 'publieke omroep'.

What did I try during installation:

Logged in as Administrator
turn of Windows FW
turn of UAC

Still no clue what is going wrong! Maybe someone else?

It should be the UAC. I had the same error, turning off the UAC did it.

Hmm..I managed to install the service! What did I do:

I copied the MMSProxyService directory to my C-drive. And then used the install.cmd command in a DOS box (opened it with admin rights). After that the service was installed en started succesfully!

Right now I have to add the service to my C-200..but the wife is using the tv right now....Dodgy Wink

I'll keep you posted!
