It isn't really the size of the screen that is the problem; my TV is just an old and analog CRT
and even some of the normal NMT pages are sometimes hard to read because of the letters
that appear to be "Dancing" on the screen.
The screen diameter is 68cm (26"), so it isn't really small either.

Like I said it isn't really the fault of the layout itself, it's just because of the "Dancing" of the
small characters that force me to zoom to 200% to enable me to read what's written.
As a result I have to scroll left/right and up/down to see the entire page, which is only possible
if there's a link nearby that position on the screen; the NMT cannot scroll on its own when a page
is just zoomed.

If it set the zoom to 100% all content is visible and working, but harder to read on such an old
CRT like mine: it's just an unhappy marriage between two devices. Big Grin

Both the low-res (direct RTSP) stream as the MMS-stream (via MMSProxy) are working.
I don't see a direct (no proxy) MMS-stream link option (if one should be there...)

It all seem to work alright Party1

I know the feeling... Dodgy
We'll see later on, when you're back from Italy. Cool

Maybe there's one little bit of criticism from my side: the PCH A-110 isn't very fast when it
comes to rendering HTML-pages and certainly has some limits on pages with (a lot of) images.
Could it be possible to turn off those preview images on the "Vandaag" en "Eerder" pages, since
it dramatically affects performance and the list of programs per page is smaller than it used to be.

I also noticed that on some pages I have to select the link and press the OK-button, followed by
the stop-button to let the page load Huh

As a last point: when searching for an older program (of, lets say 2 weeks ago), at first I get a list
of results (as before), but when that program is selected I almost always get a page back saying
that the program could not be located and I should try on the website of the broadcaster (which
my NMT obviously can't handle properly) confused

Anyway, no worries, it's working here and I hope you have a pleasant vacation in Italy Heart

Greetz,

Peter.

New feature

Yesterday a new version of MMSProxyService (version 1.4) is released that - in conjunction with the website http://www.gemistvoornmt.nl - can handle M3U8 streams. Its an experimental option.. So I need testers !

The M3U8 streams can be used with Publieke Omroep, RTL and EreDivisieLive.

The quality of the M3U8 streams for the first two is better then the current available quality.

M3U8-streams doen't ring a bell over here (I do know M3U however), but I'll give it a try. Heart

One e-mail is coming your way Cool

Greetz,

Peter.

I just installed MMSProxy 1.4.2 over here and now going to living room to test. Smile

BTW. The MMS-proxy link is missing when using a normal (IE) browser.
Had to change my useragent to get to the actual download-link. Rolleyes

Greetz,

Peter.

RE: Dutch channel Uitzending gemist. - henkkelder - 08-18-2012 11:46 AM

I have just submitted the first version of the GemistvoorNMT app to the 'App Market'.
I hope it will be availabe soon.

This should make "Uitzending Gemist" available for 200 and 300 series users.

Uitzending gemist is the possibility to watch TV episodes on the websites of the various dutch broadcasters. This app makes it possible to watch (a selection of) these on the NMT.

The nice thing is that this version works without the need for MMSProxyService to be installed,
however if MMSProxyService is installed and running (version 1.4.3 or higher) quallity for soms programs is somewhat better.

The menu shows lists for 'today' and 'yesterday' and lists for the various broadcasting companies (NPO, RTL and so on)

This version how has its limitations:
- There is no search facility
- The programs available are from Publieke Omroep, RTL4578, SBS/Net5/Veronica, Sport1, EredivisieLive and Nickelodeon.
- Only free programs or fragments are available.

Known bugs:
- EredivisieLive uses RTMP when MMSproxyService is not installed. On my C-300 this doesn't work properly. The video appears only for a second or so and the show continues with just audio. My guess this is a bug in the NMT.
- MP4's from RTL, SBS en Sport1 do not play well with the C-300 latest firmware. Either stay with the july 2012 update or install MMSProxyService.

Syabas states that the App might not work on a 200 series model, so I need volunteers to test it on. If you have a 200 series device and you want to test the app, please give me a mail at henk[AT]gemistvoornmt.nl.

I will then send you a zip file.

The only thing you need to do is unzip this zip file on a thumbstick (USB stick), place the stick in your 200 model and try to execute the app...
