RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - Inrego - 12-08-2009 10:21 PM You make a new text document and rename it to the movies filename and the extension of .nfo instead of .txt Then you open it with notepad, and copy the imdb ID in there. Example: Hellboy.avi Make a new text document New Text Document.txt Rename it to: Hellboy.nfo You might want to configure windows to show file extensions for known filetypes. Oversight managed to find my Hellboy details but it wont find the cover and fanart for my last missing file which is; Extras The Extra Special Series Finale 2007 IDMB tt1104921 Any help again would be grateful Adam RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - Inrego - 12-08-2009 11:04 PM That information is also in Lordys link, but if Oversight doesn't find the cover or fanart even with the IMDB ID, you can google some images and use them. Btw Lordy, another feature request. When I select a movie, could the play button be selected by default instead of the back button? I mean, I got the return button on my remote to go back, but if I want to play the movie, I'll have to move the selection to play. Same goes for tv shows. When I select a tv show, could the first season be selected at first instead of the back button? It's not that big of a deal, just a little thing to make the navigation smoother. Thats great got all covers now, one final thing I have just noticed is that there is no plot info for Extras, can this be added manually? Dont matter got it sorted. Lordy thanks again for a brill program and your hard work, keep the updates coming, be kewl if more skins became available to. I will make a £10 donation shortly, I wrote a few shareware programs myself in the past and took donations so I know how it feels when you get a payment, I wish more others would make donations for other peoples hard work and also for the support that is offered. If you purchased a retail product there is no way you would get such a quick response to problems etc that you do with Shareware/donationware etc. Thanks again Adam ![]() :
RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - Atinkler - 12-10-2009 12:11 PM Lordy - any chance something like this could work with Oversight? http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showthread.php?tid=32707&pid=301513#pid301513 RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - lordy - 12-10-2009 12:38 PM @Atinkler, Certainly Once oversight becomes "super stable" and does all of the basics right, I can start expanding features to take advantage of the internet connection and other plugins. - There is an IMDB one that looks interesting too. One thing I think I need is for each TV series , if the Show is still running, display when it was last and next aired. Then I dont need to keep checking if I have missed an episode. @Mystery.tipster - Many thanks. Much appreciated! @Inrego - noted! RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - espresso - 12-11-2009 07:41 AM Hey oversighters, I wanted to share this with you in case it was taking you 3 weeks (like it took me) to get oversight as the default page when your PCH boots up. 1. Create an index.htm (not html) under your share root. Meaning if you have taken a shell it would be under /share or if you've done a map from your laptop (etc) \\pch-c200\share or \\pch-a110\share 2. For the A110 your index.htm should look like this < meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;http://localhost.drives:8883/HARD_DISK/Apps/oversight/oversight.cgi" > (remove the spaces after '<' and before the '>') 3. For the C200 since it goes to networked NAS icon instead of the harddisk Icon after reboot (at least this is my case), I have placed the index.htm on my NAS' root share rather than on my C200's harddisk. Thus, for my C200 my index.htm looks like this: < meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;http://pch-c200:8883/oversight/oversight.cgi" > (naturally you should be able to ping pch-c200 from your NAS!) If the C200 goes to your internal Harddisk (this would be case if you don't have a NAS connected) then the index.htm should be placed on your internal harddisk same as the A110 in point 1 and it should look like this: < meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;http://localhost.drives:8883/SATA_DISK/Apps/oversight/oversight.cgi" > Hope this helps, Espresso RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - lordy - 12-11-2009 11:12 AM @mystery.tipster - to manually add plot info for extras, I think you would need to rename the extra S0E1 (or S0E2 etc) Then you may be able to edit plot.db and add a new line _@tt1234567@0@1@_Blah blah blah Let me know if this works! @espresso - thanks for that! I should make an index page if the user doesnt have one. One that allows manual selection of the file browser or Oversight. RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - espresso - 12-12-2009 08:48 AM @Lordy sounds great , I'll be looking forward to it and ready to test your solution
RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - Inrego - 12-12-2009 12:53 PM I'm also looking forward to that index page so I have a template to build my own index page from. RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - jpeppe - 12-12-2009 04:33 PM Hello, I installed Oversigt twice. It looks great at first sight. There are no problems with scanning my movies on the internal drive on my A110. But I can’t start movies with video_TS and iso (not a tv movie) extensions. Even if I return to Home and try to start a movie the normal way it wil not work anymore. Only after a reset I can play movies again. I looked for more then an houre for threats with a solution but I can’t find any one. What am I doing wrong? Please let me know? Jay RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - lordy - 12-12-2009 04:55 PM Hi jpeppe, Oversight uses the standard Gaya tags to play the movie. So usually this is an issue with the NMT itself. Can you play the movie twice in a row using the standard file browser? RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - jpeppe - 12-12-2009 07:36 PM Hello Lordy, Thanks for you reaction. I don’t understand why I have to use Gaya and can’t find how to install. The term Gaya I can find often but not how to install it and what it will do. There is a CSI Gaya but that’s not what you mean ,I think. And there is an extended Gaya which I can install with CSI. Is this what I need? I will play my movies directly with my A110 on my HD TV and only once. Because Oversight didn’t work the first time properly, I removed it and installed again, hoping it should work well then. I do not need to play my movies twice. Can you tell me where I can find how to install Gaya tags, so I can use this nice program. Thanks! Jay RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - lordy - 12-12-2009 08:00 PM @jpeppe , gaya is the name of the built in file browser. So what I meant was just check you can play your Video_TS file twice in a row using the normal file browser. If you can, then it is an Oversight issue, at which point you should send me your index.db file. (This is in /share/Apps/oversight/index.db ) RE: Oversight Jukebox r571-stable - mystery.tipster - 12-12-2009 10:12 PM Hi again Lordy Is there a way you can play the movies on your PC by using the Oversight GUI? I tried clicking the play icon but nothing happens. Also for a future update would it be possible to have a search facility of some sorts. Regards Adam |
