Hmm, sounds like a not desired way if fixing. But okay, if it is working for you: great. Most likely a file access problem? which is solved by running the webserver in elevated rights. RE: [nzbget] NZBget 0.7.0 download and discussion - amteza - 05-31-2009 08:19 PM Hi there, I want to point out that latest 0.7.0.309 is extremely slow compared to 0.6.x, in a regular transfer I get ~1.300 KiB/s in my PCH-A100 with 0.6.x and with the new 0.7 I just get ~900 KiB/s. Adding to that with the new 0.7 every things crawl when it's running. 0.6 just runs fine! I think that is a thing to watch. ![]() Cheers. My download speed is "slow"(680 KB/s) when I use SSL, without SSL my download speed is normal (1000 KB/s). However with the 0.5 version there was no difference between the two speeds. I'm using SSL because during the peakhours my provider is capping usenet traffic. I'm using SSL because during the peakhours my provider is capping usenet traffic. Not the same case 'cos I'm not using SSL at all. My provider doesn't cap the traffic and I've got a download pipe of 30 Mbit/s, that's why I think that is something to check. Cheers. RE: [nzbget] NZBget 0.7.0 download and discussion - chrisballuk - 06-06-2009 02:55 PM no speed issues here, seems stable (NZBget 0.7.0.309) 0.6 kept crashing so updated to 0.7, RE: [nzbget] NZBget 0.7.0 download and discussion - pong38 - 06-06-2009 03:23 PM I can confirm the lack of speed with 0.7. My avarage speed with 0.5.1. was around 1600-1700 KB/sec and with 0.7 I hardly touch the 1000 KB/sec I am using a payserver with 7 simultaneous threads (3 left from the 10 I can use) and there are no caps on threads. RE: [nzbget] NZBget 0.7.0 download and discussion - Lurch - 06-19-2009 08:24 PM Have looked through this thread and haven't found this question, hope I haven't missed it, but here goes. I still often download nzb files manually and copy them to the nzb directory via FTP, where NZBGET then picks it up and starts to download. Now initially the nzb direvtory was /share/.nzbget/nzb/ Installing a newer release via CSI changed that to /share/Apps/NZBget/.nzbget/nzb/ so I changed the bookmark in my FTP client to match. Now a few days ago I use CSI to upgrade to the latest version, and now that bookmark doesn't work anymore, browsing through samba to the directory reveals that it's gone, although the FTP client shows a linked folder (but trying to open it as no effect). Checking the config of NZBGET through the web interface shows that that should still be the correct folder. A bit more clicking around reveals that nzbs are now being dropped in the old location again (coming in from TVNZB for example)... /share/.nzbget/nzb/ even though the nzb directory according to the settings is /share/Apps/NZBget/.nzbget/nzb/ ![]() I'm a little confused. ![]() Can someone explain this or clarify the logic? RE: [nzbget] NZBget 0.7.0 download and discussion - Ger Teunis - 06-19-2009 08:27 PM I can ![]() We did that so other old style nzb-dropping application would not need an update. The /share/Apps/NZBget/.nzbget/nzb links to /share/.nzbget/nzb (also the temp and lock file if I am correct). So if an old-style application drops a nzb to the old location or the new: it should work the same: NZBget will pickup the download. RE: [nzbget] NZBget 0.7.0 download and discussion - Lurch - 06-19-2009 09:48 PM Makes sense ![]() Thanks for the speedy reply. In future you might want to consult me before making such a decision though ![]() Hahah, just kidding. Thanks for developing/supporting this great app! If you install the 'telnet' or 'dropbear' application it will work. I'll add the busybox to the nzbget as well, it is a nice postprocessing script. I'd like advanced postprocessing but I'm not a 'power user' if you catch my drift It should be enough to just install the Telnet application. You do not need to use it, just install and the postprocessing script (created by hugbug) should automagically start working. Alternatively you can install "Oversight", created by Lordy. That is more then just a unpak script, also a very nice 'overview' of downloaded media. RE: [nzbget] NZBget 0.7.0 download and discussion - coendeurloo - 06-22-2009 08:22 PM Thanks Ger, installing telnet worked like a charm, I didn't even have to reboot the PCH. Oversight is a little overkill for me since I already use YAMJ I really liked the unpak.sh script though, moving finished downloads to a different folder and all...I can't seem to get it to work with the new nzbget.
