VIDEO_TS folder hard-disk vs. network - forza11 - 05-01-2009 03:50 PM Hi, when i have a video-TS folder on the internal HD it works perfectly (i.e. the DVD starts playing when opening the folder). But when i try this on a network drive (using myihome), i have to select the different VOB files. Is there any way i can enable the auto start (resulting in a fully functional DVD) for VIDEO_TS folders on network drives? RE: VIDEO_TS folder hard-disk vs. network - excal - 05-01-2009 03:58 PM I don't think he means anything, i don't think he's trying to help. He's just trying to advertise his site...thats all. and to answer your question, i don't think that feature is supported in http streaming, which is what myihome uses. RE: VIDEO_TS folder hard-disk vs. network - forza11 - 05-01-2009 04:08 PM ok thanks, any other way to get this working without myihome? RE: VIDEO_TS folder hard-disk vs. network - excal - 05-01-2009 04:10 PM i THINK if you stream it via SMB share it'll work but i'm not 100% sure about that. in other words just make a normal share to the network drive with the network browser on your pch. RE: VIDEO_TS folder hard-disk vs. network - forza11 - 05-01-2009 06:39 PM finally got my network share to work and tested this. Works like a charm. thanks! So now my only question is; what is the advantage of using myihome over regular network sharing? |
