This has probably nothing to do with the skin but my PCH is still showing my old settings! I have updated some thumbnails with new ones and have changed some settings! But it's still showing the old ones! When I start the index.htm file on my computer from the PCH harddrive everything is showing correctly, but when I watch it on my TV it's showing the old. Only new files get the new settings on the PCH, but they are showing correctly when I check the harddrive on my computer through the Samba Server. Do the PCH cache some images somewhere els? Anyway I can clear that cache?

Yes. See 2a here: http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showthread.php?tid=27088

Notice how the bottom is more transparent(thanks to misticjeff) and the blue behind the ratings are gone.(This a PC screenshot so alignment isn't perfect)

NOTE - Some people have told me that RapidShare is bogged down for free users so I uploaded to MegaUpload as well.

Spotlight Files

Transparent Files

You can also PM your email address and I can email them to you.

Check here for the original post. Here's the RapidShare links again but they may not work for free users right now.

RapidShare:
Download this to get rid of the blue behind the rating.

Download this to make the bottom half more transparent.(Thanks misticjeff)

Instructions - Just extract the zip and there will be jpg files. For the spotlight ones the images will either looks like they have nothing in them or are all black. I just set the opacity to 0% so you see right through what was there. Move these jpgs to YAMJ folder -> skins -> (whatever your AEON skin folder is named) -> html -> pictures(You may want to back up your files).

I downloaded these and extracted them to the proper folder. Where do I make changes to have these new, transparent files be used? When I extracted them, there was no prompt to overwrite.

The transparent files go into the YAMJ> skins> amwyamj291116> html> pictures> dim folder.

The spotlight files go into the YAMJ> skins> amwyamj291116> html> pictures folder.

Be sure to overwrite HTML files and regenerate.

I extracted the files to the proper folders and regenerated the HTML files. The HTML files date stamp shows that they did update. However, the transparent versions are not showing. I'm stumped.

Try clearing the cache.

Or possible the files didn't overwrite?

I re-installed the skin and loaded the transparent files again. I'll try another reload.

By the way, how would I clear the cache? I thought it would automatically overwrite anything.

If you let YAMJ automatically download movie information for you (plot, etc) the only English-speaking site it can grab from is IMDb.

However, for art work, you can sort of specify which site YAMJ gets it from. This is the default property that's in the skin.properties:
poster.scanner.SearchPriority=moviedb,impawards,imdb,motechnet,moviecovers,google,yahoo

This property is normally put in the moviejukebox.properties, but this is the preferred order. It'll try to get it from moviedb first (themoviedb.org), and if it can't get anything from there, it'll look to impawards (impawards.com), and so on.

Also, all fanart will automatically always come from moviedb. There's no way to change that.

As far as your poster issue is concerned, I know there were moviedb issues before where posters weren't being downloaded, or something to that effect. If that's still the case, then maybe it's grabbing it from impawards instead -- and impawards frequently hosts foreign posters.

The other recent poster issue I know about is that it's grabbing the latest uploaded poster instead of the oldest -- and sometimes the latest isn't always the best. It might be foreign or something undesirable.

To 100% guarantee you're getting the artwork you want, you have to manually download them. Then place them alongside the movie file and rename them as <moviename>.jpg (poster) and <moviename>.fanart.jpg (fanart).

The "Delete" button on your remote deleted things from within YAMJ? As far as I know, by default, nothing has been changed to affect the "Delete" button.

What exactly did you do before to delete files? Step-by-step.

It does nothing anymore since i installed yamj BUT it would be nice if it would work again so you can delete stuff while your browsing your movies.

Now everything still has to be done trough a pc and you have to rescan the database.

Well, then that has to be a YAMJ feature. Certainly not a skin feature -- at least not completely. Maybe using PHP, but thats beyond me.

cache: (c-200)

settings > maintenance > click the "folder" button above the yellow & green buttons on the remote. You'll then see "clear cache" text in the upper right of the screen, hit enter.

I would also do a cold reboot of the PCH.

If you want to still use the new update, here's what you could do to get rid of the shift-detail.

Change these lines...
Code:
199    <td height="720">
200    <xsl:if test="$coikenMod='false'"><xsl:attribute name="class">shift-detail</xsl:attribute></xsl:if>

...to...
Code:
199    <td height="720" width="65">
200

I'd like to report I also have problems with the detail page alignment being broken in this release (big gap on the left and layout all wrong).

It worked perfectly in the previous release so I confirmed all my settings were correct, exportdetails_item_popcorn.css was updated and present etc.

I then came across the post above. After manually changing the source code as above the problem is fixed. Therefore, there must be something wrong with the coikenMod check (which I don't use)?

Is there any way to change the details page so that it shows movie_large.png instead of movie_small when lowlist mode is on?

Fixing the css should've worked, and has been confirmed. That's how it's going to stay until further notice, so if you want to take a look at your css file again for anomalies, we can do that.

It'll be fixed for the next update, but the quickest way is to edit the detail.xsl (and tv-detail.xsl), search for "thumbnail" (only 1 instance) and replace it with "detailPosterFile".
