are there any mods to make the lowlist shorter? It's at least 20% longer than it should be due to the list of actors taking so many rows and creating dead space where there is nothing which unnecessarily occludes the fanart imo (even with the transparency)

There's no built-in way to do it, but if you want to take a look at the code, look at lowlist.xsl. On line 13, you'll see a height of "292" being used. I believe this is the height of the upper portion of the fanart, where it's 100% visible. So increase this number and regenerate. See if that works. It may or may not break other parts of the skin, but see what happens.

You'll also have to reposition the box or the overlay if you're using LowListOverlay.

If you're using the default lowlist.xsl (not any of the modded ones), you'll definitely have to reposition the tvbgmovr class in the exportdetails_item_popcorn.css. Whatever you increased the "292" by, you'll also have to increase the top number by in the tvbgmovr class.

Thanks, I'll look into it and see what I can figure out. I'm trying to transition from ppp2 which is more minimalistic* but not as nice looking

Achieving that exact screen requires a few things, but if all you want to do is have reflections, then look at this property and its related properties: http://code.google.com/p/moviejukebox/wiki/SkinConfiguration#thumbnails.reflection

However, it's safe to say that if this is going to work at all, it's going to work with roundedcorners=true/false. You'll definitely need to change pictures/wall/posteroverlay.png if you want to use roundedcorneres=true.

Also note that the skin works best when the total height of the thumbnail is 174px. Adding a reflection will, of course, increase the height (which is controllable). This means you'll need to reduce the thumbnails.height.

Also, to keep the thumbnail normalization (so it doesn't get stretched or squeezed, if you care about that), and so as to not crop it, you'll need to reduce the thumbnails.width. The aspect ratio is 1:1.48. So whatever the height is, divide it by 1.48 to get the width. This will make the thumbnails thinner. I don't know what that's going to do to the wall until you test it out.

I can tell you now that the thumbnails in the screenshot have not been normalized. They're stretched horizontally (short/fat).

Hi, I'm having some problems with YAMJ not displaying the ratings for movies

Even with the ratings number flag option enabled, I only get (-0.1/10)

Any ideas how to solve this problem, I apologize if this problem has been discussed before but with +300 pages thread makes it difficult for keyword search

That solved the ratings problem, but now the flags for resolution and codec is missing..using mediainfo cli 0.7.27 and YAMJ r2199 btw

Hi,

I'm trying this skin out after using PPP3 for quiet some time which suited me best after some tweaks.

So far this skin is really nice and I like the index page but there is one thing that is bothering me. When viewing the detail page the lowlist is taking more then 50% of the screen, this results that the fanart is not coming out very nice.

Is there a possibility to make the lowlist smaller as there is a alot of free space in it.

Sorry if this question is already asked, but this thread is so long..

Did you remove all xml and html files from your jukebox folder before regenarating after upgrading to latest yamj?

Already did that, several times actually
but still the same result, maybe I'll just try older version of YAMJ..
