[myiHome|Index] SpeedDial NMT v1.9.0803 *UPDATE* August 3, 2009 - ejp - 07-30-2009 04:12 AM

Introduction:
SpeedDial NMT takes elements from the XBMC skin, Aeon, to bring you one of the most efficient and intuitive NMT skins.

Be sure to check Aeon Movie Wall YAMJ, the companion to SpeedDial NMT, HERE.

This post will be updated as new versions are released.

myiHome::v1.9.0803::AUGUST 3, 2009::Readme::Mirrors

Installation:
1. Unpack the downloaded RAR file. This should result in a folder named "SpeedDial.NMT.v1.9.0803".
2. Move this folder to "C:\Program Files\myiHome\webapps\ROOT\theme" or wherever you've installed myiHome.
3. In the myiHome program, go to Edit > Preferences. In the Appearance tab of the General menu, drop down the Select theme drop-down box and choose "SpeedDial.NMT.v1.9.0803".
4. Restart the myiHome server on your computer (optional?), then reload your myiHome HTTP server on your NMT.

Normally I did not have to restart the myiHome server on my computer, but lately, for some reason, the skin wouldn't take unless I restarted it. So if the skin doesn't take after simply choosing the new skin, restart the server and try again.

August 3, 2009 UPDATE
Just a small update. The applications list is now a bit wider, so not only can you see more files per page, but you can see more of the file/folder name.

If you're using Aeon Movie Wall YAMJ in conjunction with this skin, you can now go back to SpeedDial NMT via the "MENU" button on your remote.

The DIY Pack below will still work for this release.

Also thanks to RiChaDo for making an index version.

Great theme and wonderful to see myihome supported. I do think that the majority do use myihome so I expect this to be much appreciated.

Thanks. Yeah, I think the majority of (novice) users just use SMB, but if that doesn't work, I think they immediately try myiHome -- which is what happened to me.

Though I don't use it, I think the code can easily be adapted for an index version, which I'll happily post up if anyone's up for the task.

hmm...TongueWinkBig Grin

but looks nice once more ejp.

Time will tell when c-200 is out what kind of skins are possible

RE: [myiHome] SpeedDial NMT v1.9.0729 *NEW SKIN* July 29, 2009 - chris57 - 07-30-2009 08:18 AM

There will always be a demand fro existing owners though. Even when the next players after the C200 come out. I'm keeping my A100 until its retro!

RE: [myiHome] SpeedDial NMT v1.9.0729 *NEW SKIN* July 29, 2009 - ejp - 07-30-2009 08:35 AM

I hope the c200 is backwards compatible, as far as skinning is concerned.

I see mcmilly working on an Aeon-esque theme for the c200. There's a flash mockup. I don't know if that means the c200 will be able to use flash skins. If that's the case, then I'll be falling behind.

Time and date? Boy, I've been out of the loop for awhile. You can go ahead and do it -- as long as you tell me how! Big Grin

version 3.7 makes time possible but I got it ready.

Ill post it when I have the time to test it because maybe I need to adjust my tv settingsTongue
plus girfriend is watching tv at the moment.

That's pretty awesome. I'll have to take a look at it myself sometime.

Theres a code for using a clock date in the javascript library post i made in the yamj thread....you should be able to copy and paste it into your code.

You figured out the password thing too huh? I was just working on that myself for the redefined skin, What method did you end up using?

This skin looks very nice.
How do I get from the application screen to the YAMJ movie wall and back?

Hey excal...

Still toying with the clock, seeing if it's appropriate for this skin at all.

To be honest with you, not quite sure what you mean by the password thing..?

To be honest with you, massaquah, I'm not quite sure yet. I realized this myself. I didn't want to hard-code this into the ... code ... because not everyone uses YAMJ with myiHome, and I don't think you can get back to myiHome the same way you get back to an index. But I'll release something shortly.

Ah. That's what I thought. That's actually coming from myiHome. It has a password function. I know not everyone uses myiHome, let alone it's password function, but in case anyone did, I wanted to make sure that portion was skinned too.

But it would be pretty interesting to be able to do that for an index or something.
