No, sorry. YAMJ currently only supports video files. Since iSkin is just a YAMJ skin, it can only support what YAMJ supports.

I have noticed that theres a few movies i cannot play with the iSkin.
All my DVDs are TS video files.
And my Blurays are M2TS files.
At the moment its only my dvd rips that im having problems with, for example i just added 3 movies today when i tried playing them with iSkin they did not play, but they worked fine with the normal interface (YAMJ).

That's odd. YAMJ and PLoNK should treat .ts and .m2ts files exactly the same.
Take a look at the detail HTML files for one of the failing videos and see if there's something different about the paths.

OK, where would i have to look?
Is it in the YAMJ folder and then "moviejukebox" text document?

You should look in the Jukebox and iSkin folders where the HTML files are generated. Find one for a file that is failing in the iSkin folder but works in the Jukebox folder. They should have the same name as the video file, but with the extension changed to .html
Within the two .html files, search for the .ts or .m2ts file, then copy'n'paste what you find here.

This is a rather noob question. For the iPad, how do I add the iSkin icon to the Home Screen? The instructions were for iPhone which has a '+' sign at the Home Screen.
RE: iSkin - YAMJ Skin for iPhone, iTouch, and iPad! - passivity - 02-17-2011 03:28 AM
The iSkin installation states that after completion, go to http://ip_add_nmt:8080/..... But I do not get anything up on my iPad Safari.
Running netstat -an (via Telnet) did not show any service listening on port 8080. Can anyone help here?
RE: iSkin - YAMJ Skin for iPhone, iTouch, and iPad! - gfb107 - 02-17-2011 12:50 PM
Look at the instructions again. The port number is 8088

Sorry, a typo there. I meant 8088. Here's the output when I did a netstat. There's no service listening on 8088/tcp.
sh-3.00# netstat -antp

Sounds like PLoNK didn't get installed properly (via CSI), or isn't running.
Also, some users have reported it works better when lighttpd is installed (also via CSI).

OK all sorted just had to put my movies in a different folder and it was all sorted after that.
Excellent app but any chance for a request?
"A smoother scrolling option for both the ipad and iphone please."

Trying to get the iSkin to work on my Popcorn hour A110 and falling at the first hurdle, I cant get PLoNK onto my NMT via CSI.
I have a macbook pro and have downloaded the mac version of CSI, I have also downloaded the relevant version of PLoNK for my nmt but my computer downloads it as a .tar file rather then a .zip file so the CSI cant find the file when I look for it via 'file' 'install from file'. I've tried changing the .tar extension to a .zip extension just by renaming the file and CSI can now locate the PLoNK file via 'file' 'install from file' 'open' but when i click 'next' nothing happens.
I should mention that I have managed to install applications through CSI from its repository of apps and they are on my nmt.
Can any one help please?
Any one got this working on a mac?
Just a quick update, I have tried installing the PLoNK file from my windows PC running XP and exactly the same thing happens. Windows downloads the PLoNK file as a .tar file, I downloaded the file from the iSkin walkthrough on Omertons media player site, the link to the downlaod is below.
Again I changed the file extension from .tar to .zip and tried installing it via CSI but got as far as selecting the PLoNK file to be installed and again when i press the next button nothing happens.
Does any one know what I am doing wrong?

The .zip file contains a .tar file. So it sounds like your browser is automatically extracting the contents of the .zip file when you think it is downloading it.
How are you downloading the file? I suggest you try right-clicking on the file and select "Save as..." or "Save link as..." or whatever, depending on what browser you use. The other choice is to install 7-Zip or another ZIP tool and recreate the zip file from the tar file.

I was just left clicking on the link and it was downloading automatically. I did what you said, I right clicked on the linked and through safari its 'download linked file as' and it downloaded as a .zip file. Now installed PLoNK through CSI and followed the rest of the set up steps on Omertons media player site and now have iSkin working on my iphone, great app, Cheers, and thanks for your help.

Well, after my initial excitement of getting iSkin to work I have turned my nmt on today to find that it is not working. Because I have had my PCH turned off and also my network when swithcing it back on it has changed its ip address so the original iSkin link would not work. So i opened safari in my iPhone and typed in the new address of my NMT:
and created a new bookmark link on my home screen. When clicking into the link I can browse through the cover art of all my media etc but have no control on my nmt (e.g when I select media to be played nothing happens and none of the buttons on the remote have an effect on the nmt)
I need help again please.
