yes i did a brand new run with no images in my jukebox. Could it be something to do with not using imagemagic (ie the previous version of UBG had to use this)?

No it shouldn't be as image magick was really used to superimpose the seethrough covers and disc images onto the coverart. The new skin simply uses overlays now so images are not merged.
Seems a bit strange that it has downloaded low res art though. What do you mean by the covers are not in HD exactly? And where are you viewing the jukebox (PC or Popcorn)?

I am viewing it on the TV not the pc. I can only say that when looking at the cover art, there is blocking round the writing on the cover art itself! it is really annoying as the previous UBG I used was perfect for the art. Another odd thing is when I go onto the pc and go into the jukebox and then expand on the jpeg image again on the pc, this is perfect aswell. It's only when I view it on the tv that the image is blocky!
This has me well stumped!

Dave, what size (pixels) are the images? On my jukebox
_large.jpg 307x427
_small.jpg 118x173
I'm just wondering if it is because the images you have are a lot smaller/larger and the PCH is scaling them badly in the browser. Clutching at straws a bit as my setup is fine as previously mentioned.

Change to png images in the 'skin.properties' like:
thumbnails.format=jpg -> thumbnails.format=png
posters.format=jpg -> posters.format=png
Well the disadvatage of the new version without image magick is, that YAMJ is not the best image resizer and the jpg quality is not so good. So try png.
And do you clear the cache of the NMT?

Tested with r1872 and works with Fanarts.
If you have no fanarts in your jukebox folder, then its a yamj problem and not a skin problem!

Thanks guys. I have changed the files from .jpg to .png and the image quality is like before. The problem now is that the image isn't sized right in the cover box. ie the artwork width is spot on however the artwork height is stretched at the top and bottom....gggrr! Can you advise Mr.M?

So for me the 3.0 version would be an update

i try with r.1868, fanart for my boxset didnt appear..
hope with r.1892 can fix it..

still didnt work for boxset fanart...
i have some false cover from my movie...it collect different images for my "After Life" title..
so i change it manually n put the rite images in my juxebox, but it change only for cover not for the fanart...
so i think this still have a fanart issue problem..

solve my problem
i use aeon first and after jukebox created, i copy all the correct cover,fanart and also the html & xml file too, paste in my unique bg3 jukebox then run again my yamj...done
i dont know why aeon skin always can collect the rite cover,fanart and info...but i still love Unique BG more...
