Great interface.

A comment :
When you browse the playlist, I think you should be able to have a peak into the playlist without having to enter it.
If you want to play the list, select it, but to choose it you must see what is inside, so the browsing should display the content.

A question:
Is the release a question of months, weeks or days ?

Question: can you play music directly from within the library, or does it have to enter the playback screen? That's the biggest problem with the current music player, because it's extremely clumsy having to go back and forth between the actual music files and the playback screen. Isn't it possible to have a small playback screen within the library?

The only thing I'm really interrested in, you didn't show; queuing. How does it work? Is it a playlist made "on-the-fly", can you see the queue, switch number easily ect...

Great to see things going forward!

Still no answer whether this UI can work without pre-scanning and using the web to gather cover arts,etc...

Will it be able to do the simplest thing of using the local 'art' like the folder.jpg or fanart.jpg inside a folder? In other words can you use it like xbmc and have cover art even without using the library mode?

Thank you very much, best regards, etc.

having seen it a couple of things pop up:
a inline player info section would be nice so that while browsing you get to see the current playing track and be able to play/pause and skip next/prev.

Also adding to the current queue would be nice: you could start with one song than while playing browse to the next , add it to the currently playing queue, browse to the next, add it, etc.
The current playlist would also need to be in the screen along with up/down keys.
All in the same screen, without jumping in and out library's.

Remember we have 1920*1080 of pixels to play with and i dont need all my albums coverart in the screen (to "busy" or "loud" anyway).

I like it very much, this looks exactly why I bought my C200 half a year ago. If this is implemented I can take full benefit of the capacities of this very good machine.

I like it a lot, but i don't like the waiting Sad
Why not add it to the firmware, put some warning screen that it is still beta and at your own risk? At least we can use/play (with) the parts that do work...
Well the parts that do work... If i'm not wrong we've seen photo, then video and now music, so it's almost done anyway i guess?

Thanks for the update. The music interface looks nice.

I really like the fact that you can add songs to a playlist and queue. However, in the video I did not see anything how the queue is managed.

Moreover, I guess that the indexing is done on the PCH. So, this will most likely thank some time initially.

One final thing, in the video the music files are located on the internal hdd. Will it also be available when playing mp3 from a network share?

looks good. But do I have to recreate my playlists? I mean, I have already playlists/smart views in winamp on my computer, can I import them to my A-200? That would be supercool.

In my hope for this to be released, I just bought a new A-200 to go with my C-200 and A-110.
Now take my money and get this firmware out the door!

Thanks!

You can play playlists already in the C-200, so need for waiting this UI!
mmm, don't expect this in the next firmware, as it is not in the "see what's being tested" So, don't expect it before september?Angry
