I'm not going to buy a A200 until this is released so get it out ASAP! My A100 running Oversight will do till then. I honestly see no difference for me in upgrading to an A200 without this jukebox as all I do is stream mkv's over a LAN.

PLEASE OH PLEASE...I hope there is a shuffle for music and playlists. This is crazy that the c200 has no shuffle when my lame Directv receiver has shuffle on MediaShare.

I am agree with you guy! It is not normal! foldershuffle play is a good plug-in for the C200 and the shuffle but not a pro NMT soft.

@lsda26

See werner's post above...

I agree with others that the GUI looks sleek, but watching NMT_UI_20100414.mp4, I just get the feeling that the playback rate has been speeded up to make the effect seen faster and smoother.

Can it really be possible that the remote can select characters from the virtual keyboard so quickly and move around the GUI so fast? My remote (gave up and went with the IR option) can move nearly as fast most of the time, but often a subsequent OK/ENTER keypress will then fail.

I also note that with the new GUI, there appears to be no circular 'waiting' icon anymore. Has the GUI improved so much, or is there some trickery afoot?

Such an improvement in speed would have been an 'ultimate' improvement for me, but now to see so many new features included in this new GUI makes me eventually realise that the recommendations to go with this machine from the outset are eventually being fulfilled.

Congratulations! You have turned a bathtub on wheels into a fast sportscar. I can't wait to get my hands on the beta! Wink

there was no speedup on any of the videos. but i recorded the video on a fresh hdd where i copied some music albums on it, so i think it will slow down as bigger the db gets, but the video are recorded in normal speed and not made faster or anything else

My big question is: Can the gui also work from a nas server? I saw that it was running from the internal disk.

I generally like the new UI. Cool te be able to browse through my collection this way. However, there are two things that made me raise my eyebrowe Tongue
- I find the order of the choices how to browse the collection a bit odd (By Artist, By Playlist, etc.). There's no logic in the order AT ALL.
- The actual musicplayer is totally out of style now. It's way to minimalistic and the progress- and infobar seems disconnected designwise.

I didn't really doubt your integrity, but had to ask the question. If that is the actual browsing speed, then I have to admit that based on the GUI aspect, the improvement is phenomenal whether small amount of data on the disk or not!

I appreciate that this is still beta development and therefore the most important question is whether the SW actually works and is able to do justice to the much improved GUI.

Looks alone aren't everything, but certainly from the video, things definitely appear to be going in the right direction Wink

you need to put some type of parent pin code on the delete option

I agree with that comment, but maybe werner had already been doing some similar work before he started the recording and the password is retained? This would be very welcome if you were doing a lot of management from the GUI itself.

The GUI should work like it works now. When you navigate to a share it will load the files in there into the GUI.

No sense to make the GUI for only files stored on the internal HDD is there?

actually, I think he is asking something different and I'm curious..

Does the richui require a HDD or Thumbdrive or can we run it without..

I think I know the answer so I'll just say: LUNDMAN!! we need some nmt-flex so we can run nmt from a remote storage device Smile

Finally a look at the music part Smile

Looks awesome:
1. The way it looks when browsing
2. The speed

Could be improved:
1. Obviously the now playing part (probably not fixed yet).
2. Add to playlist, would be nice with a default playlist where you just press a button and songs/albums are added directly.
3. Would be nice with a list view for browsing artists, like the blue thingy for songs in the video (Maybe this is planned)

Know that it's probably not even in beta stage, but looks great for now.
