Great job but please improve some major things:
1. Adding files to playlist or selecting files must be simplified to ONE key press.
2. Playlist should combine pictures and movies... (so we can start showing photos, then some movie, then again photos, etc...)
3. Adding whole folders to playlists
4. Adding more then one file to playlist at time.

Will this enable the use of multiple network shares?
I have a very hard time justifying the value of a NETWORKED Media Tank that can't handle multiple network shares.
I need the ability to gather all my media content from various sources and have them available, in a SINGLE list, where the user does NOT have to scroll from share to share to simply browse the catalog.
So again, will this upcoming 'feature' or a 'firmware' enable the ability to either have multiple shares mounted at the same time OR be able to dynamically mount the shares as needed (Please note that .ISO support is a MUST HERE).
Please, let us know, I just bought the C200, and honestly, if I am not going to be able to collect and have access to all my media in a single location, then I will be forced to sell this unit and find an adequate alternative.

Minor Thing: Please update the info bar in the music and movies now playing.
the purple playbar is too funky and clashes, I like the WD TV info bar much more. Simple colours, nothing too out there (like bright blue/purple)

I agree, it would be great to simplify the playlist functions! Especially adding whole folders (recursively).
Also just playing all songs in a folder (without making a playlist) would be nice.

I could be wrong, but i thought that was in there (unless i'm confusing my memory of NMJ and UMC).

Know that it's probably not even in beta stage, but looks great for now.
@ improvement #2: I saw the option add to queue. I think that's a sort of 'now playing' playlist, but I also saw a 'now playing' playlist in the 'normal' add to playlist option.
A nice option would be to add a album directly to the queue (or the now playing playlist) from 'the cover wall'. This way it's verry easy to add some nice music to a queue when you're having a party.
I also surposse that the music keeps playing while watching pictures?

I totaly disagree with you. The info bar is clear and easy to read. All info you want to see is there and because it's so bright it's easy t read.

This only works when you want to play all songs within 1 folder but I would like it to play all songs in underlying folders.
For example I have this hierarchy:
My songs/Band X/song1.mp3
My songs/Band X/song2.mp3
My songs/Band Y/song1.mp3
My songs/Band Y/song2.mp3
When I select the directory My songs I'd like to hit play so all underlying songs will be played

I don't think this will be working, the new GUI uses albums / artists / songs not the path / directory to a song / album. I think it would be nice if there would be a play all button, to play all the music and it woult be VERRY nice to have an option to add a album to the queue directly from 'the cover wall'

I never said it wasnt easy to read, it is easy to read and all the information is there your right. Im just saying its ugly as hell and it really should match the current or upcoming GUI.
You dont see mansions furnished like a barn, if you get what Im saying. Im just saying i dont like the colors. White on a dark color like black/dark blue gradients would look nice.

This new UI seems very promising but I need to understand couple of things (may be I didn't read all the thread):
- Will it create the movies posters automatically on the fly? If yes, what if it created a wrong poster for a movie? how will I be able to correct that?
- Why can't it use the simpler folder.jpg way where it is easier to just have all my posters 100% correct and as per my preference?
- Will the new UI be included as an official NMT firmware update or will it be optional third-party update like YAMJ for example?
