I tried YAMJ its such a pain to setup and then its flaky when it comes to launching files on NMT's

I bought my C200 believing that we would eventually be provided with an inbuilt YAMJ ? or similar system, I wanna see movie posters, and have my movies in catagories . . . Family, drama, animation, newly added etc.

Thats what I thought we would eventually be getting . . I realise its a process building this type of system but jeez its dragging on and on and on and on and on

Will it be this year ???????

Have you been living under a rock?? It comes out this week could even be in as little as 5 hours

NMJ will scan the source and a little/long while later voila a Jukebox appears

thank you....but that's a general answer for those jumping into it fresh. What about options, i.e. a complete fresh scan.....OR....those with YAMJ front ends....the CONVERSION option? My point being...as I asked before, where's the complete overview with ALL options the user can employ !

i am writing the options, but will need some time Smile i have not 24hours a day time Big Grin, the converter is already posted on the NMJ Forum section.

Just two comments:
1) I do think is a little bit too late to ask this... the week NMJ is going to be released Cool
2) I have A200 for two weeks now and I already have this - is called OverSight and works like a charm. Rolleyes

As yet there is no all options to NMJ, just like there is no single source of all options to operating the PCH, Documentation is not Syabas speciality (I do hope that changes). for now we all rely on users providing information and updating the wiki

werners guides will help, there are really not a lot of options to NMJ, it's a "dummies" Jukebox

There will not be a YAMJ front end conversion, only YAMJ to NMJ database conversion
NMJ interface is all you can currently see

I apologize for the naive question, but to use the NMJ you need to connect the C/A200 to the web?
Thanks for your answers

Yes it does require an internet connection because it scrapes the internet for info (IMDB)

Although there might be a way to do all this manually but i guess thats quite some work.

Not to use it but if you want the cover art and you don't have any locally on your drives then it need to be connected whilst building the jukebox.

Cover art, plots, ratings, actors, directors, etc.

All of that is scraped from the internet, unless you use tonmj to build the db.

you need to make an initial database first, that can be with NMJ scanning or YAMJ+TONMJ and then if your a windows user, you can use the nmjtoolkit or any sqlite editor to change the db around.

See the nmj forum for more info

And that's the real indication of success of this enhancement IMHO.

i could not agree more..

Just hope most people wont have to much trouble getting things started.
Looks like its all in the naming of files/folders or the.nfo files. Shouldnt be to hard for most of the users.
