UMC 1.84 and 2.0 don't work - bluenote - 05-02-2010 01:41 PM

Hi all,

I downloaded UMC 2.0 build 3 version, followed all the instructions in the forum threads, but when I try to scan it gives me an error saying there's no skin selected. When I go to the skin tab, it's empty.
I noticed the Skin folder is also empty.
Where can dl the skin?

I then tried the 1.84 version. Everything when smooth, but when I try to open the index file from the C200 it gives me an error "Request can not be processed" (or something similar, I'm not currently at home).

When I open the Index file on my PC it gives me a Page Can Not Be Displayed error.

What am I doing wrong?

thank you

2.0: Install skin in Options > Settings > Updates

1.84: Add execute permissions to jukebox files

Where do I need to change the permission, on my XP?

Can someone guide me on how to use filezilla to change permission?
Do I need the client or the server?
Do I need to install it on my xp or on the c200?

Thank you

If you have files on NMTconfused hard drive, you can change permissions with FTP client (e.g. Filezilla).

Check you have FTP running on NMT. Connect to NMT ip with user:nmt and password:1234. I don't use filezilla, but I would try to right click files for permissions/file properties..

Well, I downloaded filezilla, Set the permission on all files in the UMT folder and subfolders, and still no good.
When I try to run Index.html I get a "Request can not be processed" error.

My configuration is:
* One internal HDD in the c200
* Several shares on the c200 pointing to my XP machine
* Movies and TV series on my XP
* One TV series on the internal HDD

This is the content of my index file:
<html><meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;http://localhost.drives:8883/SATA_DISK/umc/umc.cgi?destination=home">
</html>

Is it OK?
Do I need to start the Upnp AV Server or any other server on the C200 (I've got the Samba, FTP, MyIHome and Torrent servers running).

Here you have a folder "UMC" (i think)

and here folder is "umc". Linux filesystem is case-sensitive. You have to change the folder name to "umc" or folder in umc settings to "UMC".

GREAT!
That really did the job, thanks!

Only now I have a new problem...
I have a regular CRT television, and when I open the Index file I only see a small section of the picture. I don't see all the menu and when I choose "movies" for example it won't let me browse all the movies.

It's like something's wrong with the resolution of the file.
I tried playing around with the TV Mode and Zoom buttons but it didn't help.

Any idea?
Should I open a new thread?

If you don't have a hd television. You should get sd skin to umc.

I haven't used any sd skins, but google found one here: http://www.popcornforum.de/showthread.php?tid=12231

I've installed UMC 1.84 on my C-200, I've scanned my SATA_DISK movies and my HDD USB_DRIVE, it have created a UMC folder on the UMC install folder, than I've moved it on the root of my C-200 , I can start the index.htm (apart the fact that it have find only 10/122 covers of movies) but when try to play some movies they don't start or I see the loop circle all the time, maybe any wrong path? I must to edit something? Another question, UMC is compatible with large file like DVD/BD Rip, like ISO or MKV? I can try with Yamj? Last question the UMC 2.0 want the skin ReVamp 2.0 where I can download it. Thanks
