Not only is the single PlayON issue that was supposed to be fixed still not working, it's actually worse since when you go to the second page, it freezes up completely! Ay, yi, yi, what is the problem with Syabas? Communication or language barrier? Lack of interest? Falling apart?? Not only did we have to wait a long time for this but it's actually worse...... When it's in the list of fixed bugs and the Syabas developer tells you it's fixed, you expect it to be fixed. What I want to know is why the hell no one tests this stuff before it's shipped out??? I just hope that all the C200/A200 people waiting for the promised PlayON support in their latest firmware aren't similarly disappointed..... I still have mkv's where the A-100 will play the first language (e.g. German) instead of the preferred language (i.e. English). MPC and WMP both would display the correct sub language. A little disappointed that I didn't get to beta-test this firmware though I am supposed to be part of the beta-testing team... :-( Chris RE: [A100] Firmware 01-17-100516-15-POP-402-000 (00-17-091216-15-POP-402 Apps) - primetimeguy - 08-14-2010 03:55 AM Can someone tell me or post a screen cap of what this means "9. New music playback UI with album art/metadata ala C200" Seems to be about the only thing I might care about, but don't want to be a guinea pig and possibly break other things that work. Really bad. Maybe I'll send a screenshot. (08-14-2010 03:55 AM)primetimeguy Wrote: Can someone tell me or post a screen cap of what this means "9. I understand now. If you look carefully at the version number of the "new" firmware being released today, 01-17-100516-15-POP-402-000, it is built at May 16th, 2010. My fix for the "cannot scroll to second page of PlayOn server" is in June. This explains why the fix is not inside this "new" firmware. Regards, Roland Hii" which begs the question of why in the heck it took so long to release if it just had May updates??!! The 100 series is 3 years old now. RE: [A100] Firmware 01-17-100516-15-POP-402-000 (00-17-091216-15-POP-402 Apps) - peas - 08-14-2010 07:04 AM Yes the a100 is older, but if they had written their software properly, they could leverage much of the development for their entire line. I liked the a100 when it came out, flaws and all, hoping that they would fix it and improve features. I know they want to sell new units, but with the way they're treating the a100, I'm not inclined to invest my hard-earned money into any more PCH devices. I am willing to add PCH's to all the rooms in my house. What I'm not willing to do is replace a perfectly functional piece of hardware that is rendered obsolete through negligent software updates. Yes that includes feature additions. Case in point: the Wii is 4 years old, yet it got Netflix support recently. Maybe I'm in the minority, maybe not. Syabas needs to take a hard look at its sales and figure out leaving their loyal initial customers out to dry is hurting everyone. You name one company that does active updates for 3 years on a device? And the list is very small. They are still doing updates hence why you just got a firmware. But you cant expect them to put resources into problems that pop up on the 100 seires. And being the first marked devices im surprised its still gets active updates at all. Let see the wdtv 1 last got an update last year and that is a company with big money behind it. If you expect the 100 series to have new feature you are sadly mistaken about what goes on in this market. Then don't even say you're going to provide the measly little update at all if you can't do it right. I guess you think we should be grateful that Syabas even said they would include the measly little update even though they didn't bother to take the time to make sure it was in there. I'd have more respect for this company if they just said it was an honest mistake. Geez, this is the worst way to treat your customers.
