Excellent! Of course, this is probably a bug and could get 'fixed' at some point...

Hi, I am trying to use this application through a network... with no drive. NMJ on my pc, and connecting to my C-200 via a network, then a 1.5 T ext hard drive connected the the PCH.

This has no NMT drive letter and comes up with the error "This app does not support UNC paths. Please map database path to a drive letter"

Help...?

Then I get "Unhandled exception has occured in your application"

More help....

Thanks for your assistance in advance.

I hope they don't fix it!

But it makes sense as it is a way to let other tools to update the database (Even Syabas provided one tool to update the database from YAJM)...

Map the network share as a drive (say z: ) and then execute nmjtoolbox, choose the drive,...

New user and many questions....

1. Can you do a bulk upgrade for the video entry?

2. Can you delete Wallpaper if installed by error and not wanting anymore?

3. Can this NMJ toolbox also update tv series covers, and entries?

Thanks for you patience.

Nice application though.

I have a A-200, the path in the episode tab from a movie that will not play is for example

"Hangover/Hangover.mkv"

(with a slash, not a backslash; is this ok?).

The media.db is in the nmj-database folder in the root directory, above the "Hangover"-folder. Here an example of the drive content:

[...]
Hangover <DIR> ---> Hangover.mkv
Harry Potter <DIR>
nmj-database <DIR> ---> media.db
Coyote ugly.mkv
Van Helsing.mkv
[...]

Thanks,
BanditDD

I cannot see anything wrong with the path here as long as the 'Hangover' folder is in the root of the share you are using. Have you tried playing it from outside the NMJ?

In what way? There is a 'Bulk Genre' update facility on the episode tab. There is a 'Bulk TheMovieDB' update via the utilities tab. There is no bulk MediaInfo update though.

Quote:2. Can you delete Wallpaper if installed by error and not wanting anymore?
Not at the moment.

Quote:3. Can this NMJ toolbox also update tv series covers, and entries?
Covers can be dragged and dropped on TV series manually but cannot be retrieved from the internet automatically at the moment. Neither can series info - this is a manual operation.

Can you run your 'Hangover through MediaInfo and tell me what the 'Format Profile states? I have run into a similar issue and I think it is a bug in NMJ but want to confirm. In MediaInfo the line will look like this:

Format profile : High@L4.0

RE: NMJToolbox - A Windows editor for the NMJ (Updated 23/01/11 v1.0.2.9) - jluc2808 - 02-03-2011 11:42 PM

hello i have the same problem with Gran Torino.mkv (the only file which doesn't work with NMJ )
and my mediainfo Format profile is High@L4.1
of course i tried to run the film out of NMJ and it plays well
tried too to play with the play video button inside NMJ Toolbox and it's OK

RE: NMJToolbox - A Windows editor for the NMJ (Updated 23/01/11 v1.0.2.9) - Rom - 02-04-2011 02:34 AM

Yes, this is what I found, High@4.1 do not play in NMJ but do in file browser, below 4.1 play OK in NMJ. I believe it is a bug in NMJ. I will report it.

I found:
High@L4.1 and some High@L5.1 don't play.
But others High@L5.1 are playing.

hmmm, will have to root through my media files and see what the common thread is for them not playing them. All I can say is that it is not a fault of the NMJ Toolbox but a problem with the NMJ. I have logged a bug for this but need to track down the definate cause/circumstances.

Does your High@5.1 file play through the normal file browser OK? Some High@5.1 files may not play anyway and so are not related to this problem with the NMJ.

For High@5.1 and High@4.1 the problem are the subtitles.
I tested removing subtitles, and now is OK with the NMJ.

With the normal file browser, all are playing (5.1 and 4.1 with subtitles).

Are you talking about internal or external subtitles?
I have no problems with the playback and all of my files have internal subtitles.

you got it , that exactly the problem, i removed the subtitles on Gran torino.mkv which is HIGH@4.1 (doesn't play within NMJ only) and now the film is playing with no problem.

Rom:
I think the problem is in NMJ Toolbox, because I tested creating a new database directly from the NMJ official (without internet connection), and now all movies are OK.

Did you put the subtitles back before rebuilding with the NMJ?

If you removed the subtitles and it played OK with the NMJT added DB then it cannot possibly be NMJT as nothing in the database has changed, only the media file...

The reason I ask is that I have some not working with subtitles and some working with subtitles (though not High@4.1). The only difference I can see is the ones not working seem to have UTF-8 titles and the ones that do work have VOBSUB.

I will find more cases of others and see if I can narrow it down but there is absolutely no difference in the way NMJToolbox adds these films so I cannot see it being a problem with NMJT but I will keep looking.
