RE: BBC iPlayer? - Trundle - 04-22-2011 05:16 PM

I've not installed any apps before and only found out about this a few days ago. Decided to give it a try yesterday when the server was down, just my luck. Rolleyes Got it installed now though and I'm rather impressed. My first impression is that it works better than on my PC! Fast forward & rewind are a bit shonky, but playback is very smooth and the picture quality is fine.

Two things struck me immediately when I selected it in the Apps Market. Firstly, I can't believe it is only 9KB. Is that really correct? Secondly, there had only been 445 downloads so someone really needs to spread the word!

A bit late to see this thread, but I had always wanted this feature on my C-200. Installed the new firmware and this app, works perfectly.

Very good interface, and quite responsive playback.

I am used to watching the iPlayer via my Wii console which was my only option so far. The experience is certainly better with the C-200, sharper image and easier to use remote rather than waving the console wiimote.

Thanks to Syabas team for a job well done! Makes my C-200 product look complete now Smile

I have the iplayer app, and so far so good - the forward and back controls are sadly lacking, but as long as it doesn't buffer half way through a program, then it's all ok at the moment for me!

I know the service is available only in the UK, but is app also available only for UK users?

I dont think so, not 100% but I can for example see the Chinese geo specific app. When I try to download it says wrong location, so if you use a proxy you may get what you want but you certainly. wouldn't expect to see the instructions for that on the official NMT owners forumWink

Just wanted to add my thanks to Syabas for getting this app working. It's fantastic, I can't believe that I've only just discovered it this evening. It will be seeing a lot of use from now on. Now, is there any other updates that I've overlooked? Smile

think so, don't think the app appeared until i ran the popcorn through vpn... anyway it makes no difference, the app would be useless unless you are in or appear to be in the uk

Yes i know, it would be useless, but i was considering a vpn service. I'll give it a try then.

also noticed when choose the live stations the only channels listed are mainly arabic

is it an issue with syabas not detecting my ip as a uk ip
