I've lost posts all day not noticing that when using the new quick reply box you have to click post twice for it to actually post.

I also thought I lost posts.
The current forum thread is not being properly updated.

When I hit post reply it looks like it's replying but i'm presented with the thread, "my post" at the bottom, I'm still in the editor with all the posts in quote form under it. It only posts to the forum if I click post reply at this time.. normal reply is fine it's that quick reply at the bottom of each thread.
this might be the reply to a specific post and might be wrong with the quick reply part of this..
Is there any plugin or the thread updated while you were posting installed?

It's spuratic when it does it leading me to beleive some plugin is installed that causes this behavior in certain situations.

Same thing -- my words were still in the Quick Reply box.

Not sure about any plugin or forum options.
I am using Firefox 3.6.x

This is definitely a new problem, just like I reported "View New Posts" no longer works the way it used to.

For the past month or so, even before it was slow I have got in the habit of hitting Post, then clicking the X to stop browser and then Post again.

Are you sure this is not a case of browser in paranoid mode?
Only parallel I see is on one PC where I run Firefox Beta

For me it is possible, since I run NoScript. I don't use if for paranoia though, I like to choose which pages auto start to play music and video.

Ok, I found what causes this..

If your typing in quick reply and other people have replied.. it shows you your post and your still in the editor so it looks like you've replied but your still in the editor.. you then have to hit post reply again.
