Normally, I don't download crap re-encodes, but in this case I forgot to cap "A History of Ancient Britain" first episode - this 720 25fps MKV certainly played back fine here. You might want to check (and replicate) the x264 settings to see if this helps. I notice this is muxed also with a dead old version of MKVMERGE.

Fine to rename the 3D movies to automaticly switch to 3D SBS, but is the subtitle issue solved for SBS movies? Now my 3D movies show half of the subtitle because of the 'split' screens. Has this been solved in this firmware. This should be a very usefull 3D feature.......

I'm waiting for a-200 upgrade...
how is it working on new firmwares the cue/flac new ability?
Does c-200 open and read cue/flac flawlessy?

Thanks

This is the first update that's giving me issues. Playback starts stuttering after about 10 minuted of viewing. (I've had no stuttering issues previously.) I'll roll back the FW and see what happens. (My other C-200, which I have not yet updated, does not have the issue, nor does my A-110)

I was playing Angels & Demons M2TS from a RAID array in my file server. I also saw stuttering in an NCIS episode (DVD folder.)

I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for answer!
My file :
"Bold (2009).3DSBS.mkv"
It`s the same like this test in my Toshiba3D and Projector Optoma 3D-HD66.

Hi Mr. Noop, what kind and brand of 3d glasses you use for your projector Optoma 3D-HD66?

This occures for Vampire Weekend - Contra album for example between tracks 1&2 2&3.But also other albums are affected.

The gap sometimes is not noticeable and sometimes as significant as 0.5 sec.
No issue like this on previous version of the firmware, can anyone confirm?

I can confirm this bug Sad. It's present in all firmwares, but in firmwares build using old SDK it begin to show up mostly after playing 3-4 songs. The gap is not present in between tracks but 2-5 seconds before previous track end. I think it's somehow connected with next track buffering. For me it's very bad because i get c200 mostly to play my CD backups from network and it's useless for that before this bug is solved. This problem is present on WAV files too, only the gaps are shorter.

Same problem with subtitling of 3DSBS videos here. Is subtitle support for 3D implemented? Will it be?

Really nice to get 3D working though Smile

Hi!
My glasses 's Optoma BG-ZD101 DLP
My Toshiba glasses 's a gift comes my 3DTV
My problem 's not at my glasses.
I think 3DSBS,3DTAB 's not worked like a HTPC with Stereoscopic or Totalmedia Media Theater:
Like a frame with 2 images becomes a frame with 1 image in my screen.
If I used 3D mode in my TV,(changes 2D to 3D),it work well.In this case ,the activities 's in myTV,not a hdplayer.Any HDplayer can also do it like that .

Both recent (yesterday) and old 720p 25fps MKV files appear to play with odd frames out of order, producing stutter. Have reported this with every firmware since May 2010. Come on Syabas, this has been reported since May last year and renders all my TV recorded MKV's unwatchable, yes remuxing can fix it but I have GBytes of MKV that used to play absolutely wonderfully fine and are now rendered unwatchable.Angry

Just put back May 2010 firmware and all back to smooth 720p 25fps playback.confused

This bug annoys the hell out of me as well.

It is reported on Mantis to Syabas, its a bug number 0000416 for reference.
They could do with some more samples Ian apparently. PM me with some <100Mb samples if you have any.

If you switch to 1080i you may find things don't stutter, may be preferable to losing features through downgrading the firmware.
Well yesterday I got a .ts file of BBC 1 Episode 1 Come Fly With Me, recorded from FreeSat. Converted to 720p using RipBot264 (broadcast resolution is 1440x1080i) and surprise surprise, flickers. Back to May 2010 firmware plays absolutely fine and smooth no issues.

I might have some .MKV's less than 100MByte (Shaun the sheep, for the kids, not me...), but at the moment at work (and supposed to be working) I have completely lost contact, via VPN, to my home network, so can't access my PC, servers or Popcorn Hour......Angry

I went back to "august 26 2010" firmware and all the stuttering is gone even in the menu screen when setting c-200 to 1080p/60hz.

I think I will try using component cables to connect the C200 to the AVR & Display just to find out if it's unique to HDMI that causes this random drops in video/audio.

Hey guys, I have a question: This version's NMJ is supposed to be faster.. I personally haven't noticed any differences, but I had no problem with its speed anyways..
Do you think that in order to really understand the difference, I should delete my database and let NMJ create it again?

Yes, you are right - the gap is before the previous song actually ends and definitely has something to do with next song buffering. I wonder if there's any way to bring this issue to developers' attention

Well the version I "found" is not the same as yours. Not been able to view it yet, as not had time to get near TV.Dodgy

Code:
Writing application              : mkvmerge v3.2.0 ('Beginnings') built on Feb 12 2010 16:46:17
Writing library                  : libebml v0.7.9 + libmatroska v0.8.1

However, I think the point is being missed. May 2010 firmware (and earlier) all UK HD TV MKV files played 100% fine, nothing to report all wonderfull. However after May 2010 something has regressed and 25fps UK HD TV MKV's no longer play correctly. There is no point in "downloading" later programmes as the older ones I already have been rendered unwatchable by later "so called" firmware upgrades.Angry

People at Intel get sacked if the latest x86 chip doesn't run legacy 8086 code, people at Microsoft get "moved" if the latest Excel won't open Excel 2.0 files (I don't think there was a V1.0 Excel). People a Syabas get moaned at if their latest firmware doesn't play stuff it once used to...Big Grin

I think you have the advantage of having the original file there which you are encoding from. It would probably be a great advantage if you do some test encodings to see if there is a parameter in X264 causing these issues.

In all cases with this 25FPS MKV stuttering issue I investigated, it was curable with demuxing by EAC3TO, remuxing outputted files with MKVMERGE, which is strange as means nothing was wrong with the audio/video streams (perhaps a certain few versions of MKVMERGE are to blame).

Like mentioned, the one example of 25FPS MKV I have works fine. It probably requires a little more investigation in the beta tester team - would require someone that has a little less quality standards than I do - as I don't possess such files.

Is there a list of definitely affected files somewhere? If so, and they're available on Usenet, I don't mind to have a look (probably best posted in the Beta Tester Request thread).

Cheers,

I found a problem in the current NMJ version. I don't know it is only for me. When you are in the detail page of a movie and when you click left arrow or return, it goes back to the main index screen and reloads the data, where as the previous version was just showing the index screen on next second.
