This little nugget from the release notes drew my attention

This isn't on the C200 firmware hence this means this time again the A200 firmware isn't a "scaled down" version of the C200 firmware but a new build.

I will post this same FYI from the C200 firmware when we received it a couple of weeks ago.

Code:

YES this is true but please be informed that you will only be able to extract AC3 core from BDMV/BD ISO and M2TS files.

You will NOT be able to playback AC3 core from a TrueHD stream in TS files.
You will NOT be able to playback AC3 core from a TrueHD stream in MKV files.

The reason it doesn't work for MKV is because it discards AC3 cores in TrueHD tracks. If you don't believe me, please read it from the author of mkvtoolnix himself;

as i said, this build has also the fixes from Firmware B, for C200 inside, which is delayed because of issues with online update, so a200 has i think in total 3 fixes already inside, which the last c200 public firmware is missing, the fixes present on a200 and missing on C200 are the following.
