I can download the Apps from Post #1, but can't seem to find a link to the firmware itself... Its online only. It updates bluray keys so it has to be online to do a lot of challenge and response type things . There are people who have the PCH networked within their house but don't have it connected to the internet. I do, but the only time I access the internet with my C-200 is to do a FW update. Other than Netflix, which it doesn't have, I have no use to have internet access on it. I use it strictly as a Video Jukebox without the NMJ. Some day after it's more developed I may use it. But I do understand why this update is strictly online. She's going to use it with a USB HDD and nothing else (at least not to begin with). Anyhoo as a developer I think you understand the whole keyserver thing. During this particular update process, there is a server on Syabas' side that gets the unique identifier for each C200 and generates the necessary key that needs to be written to a special portion of the C200 (not the nand flash) to update the AACS capabilities of the C200 to allow it to play newer BD released that has newer encryption. Syabas can't release the keygenerator for obvious reason so this particular step has to be done online. Since then my C-200 has been operating erratically and freezing unexpectedly everyday. I received no errors when updating and when it is running its all fine. Any clues? possible hard drive failure? I have an internal drive installed with all my media. Or something caused by the update. If you open up the cover of the C200, you will find a USB port on the top right corner of the motherboard. This will keep your external USB ports free for other devices like USB attached external hard drives. Once done you can then install the NMT Apps (Setup > Maintenance > NMT Setup Wizard) When asked about the desired option, select the following; Fresh Setup When asked about the storage device to install NMT, select; USB_DRIVE_{x} <-- whatever the C200 detects RE: [C-200] Firmware 03-04-110530-21-POP-408 (03-04-110520-21-POP-408 Apps) (3.06.2011) - mamunluk - 07-14-2011 04:42 AM thats a big thanks my friend for the infos you gave il try it again to update it RE: [C-200] Firmware 03-04-110530-21-POP-408 (03-04-110520-21-POP-408 Apps) (3.06.2011) - nemesis.ie - 07-14-2011 08:37 AM (07-13-2011 07:24 PM)justjas Wrote: Anyway ive ordered a c-200 which supposedly gets posted from hong kong tomorrow and just wondered if it is possible to D/L using my giganews account and if so can i use mimo? i ask this as i wouild like to d/l files direct to a hard drive inside the c-200 rather than d/l on pc then transfer to c-200 Yes, you can do this. You just need to enable SAMBA on the PCH and you will see the drive on your network and then set the network share's path in your d/l software. |
