[Audio] no sound on MPEG2 video - jorgengr - 09-25-2011 11:04 PM Hi This seams to be a well known old bug. I wonder if it will be fixed. Got a A-100 with f/w [31 Mar. 2011]. There are no sound from files from Danish public broadcast TV. Play well with mplayer and vlc. MPEG Streamclip will demux and mux back together. You need either the Quicktime mpeg plugin from the Apple store at about $20 or install the free Quicktime Alternative v1.81 This program will also convert TS files to pure MPEG2 and a variety of other formats. Ignore any file error messages you might get when loading the TS file. ie Use anyway... You need either the Quicktime mpeg plugin from the Apple store at about $20 or install the free Quicktime Alternative v1.81 My mythtv-backend running on ubuntu server (with email, webserver, access point, internet gateway etc), generate a couple of these MPEG2 video files daily on a separate disk, from DVB-T. Now there is 1000 - 1500 files. They play fine on my mythtv-frontend. But not on the A-100. It is annoying that I have to go trought lots of conversion with video files, that I assume is faily strict within standards. Can you point me to a linux complient recepie for converting the audio format? Brgds |
