permission rights on external drive - jcarlier - 01-23-2012 05:44 PM

hi,

i have a pch A100 with two external drive (NTFS ) attached .

the two are mapped in win 7:
First ===> USB_DRIVE_A-1 (\\PCH-A100) in Z
Second ===> usb_drive_b-1 (\\Pch-a100) in Y

With the first one , i can add a file on it from my desktop (Win 7 64 Bits)

But with the second one, i can't ..

message from Win 7 :
"You have no rights to make that action .. " Angry

is it possible to change permissions by filezilla or telnet on that external drive ...?

When i go to properties/security , i get:
user 'NMT user (PCH-A100\nmt)'
but i cannot change the autorization ...

Maybe someone can explain me the Problem
and give me the solution ???

In advance , many thanks..

Jack

First post in the correct forum section and you'll get answers hopefully Smile

Then give more dtail on the HDD's. What make/model, how have you formatted them, did you reemove any propiatory software, any hidden partitions?

Have you tried chmod via Filezilla. Changing permissions to 777.
