sickbeard + nzbget issues - Lacroix - 07-22-2012 05:45 PM

I'm trying to install and setup sickbeard and nzbget on my a300, but am running into issues.

By default, nzbget 0.6 is installed on the pch, correct?
Then I installed "local 0.1.8", and "sickbeard 1.0" using the CSI.
After this I set up both sickbeard and nzbget 0.6.

Then I added shows to sickbeard and sickbeard would send the nzb to nzbget, here I would get error messages.

In sickbeard: "NZBget could not add to the queue"
In nzbget 0.6: "error parsing nzb", and no further info

After searching a bit on google, I read that the parsing errors should be gone in a further version of nzbget, so I installed "nzbget 0.8-testing".

Afer this, sickbeard could succesfully send nzb's to nzbget, however I would receive a connection timeout from my newsserver.

When I had installed nzbget 0.6, I setup my newsserver correctly and testing this by uploading an nzbfile.
After upgrading to nzbget 0.8, the settings would still be the same, however when I upload an nzb file, I get the same connection timeout.
The error says my newsserver is "my1.newsserver.com", but my settings page tells me I have setup the correct one. (only 1 server).

Then, when I try to set the newsserver again, in nzbget 0.8, and restart after saving my changes, by nzbget version is back to 0.6, so I get the parsing error again.

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

To connect to NZBget 0.8 you have to use http://ip-to-your-popcorn:9999/NZBget_web/ and change the config there.

I'm guessing you're till trying to use http://ip-to-your-popcorn:8066 to connect NZBget.

I set up Sickbeard 1.0 and Local 0.1.8-nmt2 on my PCH A300.
Now im trying to make it work with NZBget 0.7.0-testing-r380.

I set up my newsserver and resetted NZBget as well as the whole PCH.

The only message I get is:

ERROR: NZBGetWeb could not connect to NZBGet-Server.

Possible reasons include:
NZBGet-Server is not running (start);
IP/Port-settings are incorrect. Check config;
Firewall is not properly configured (if nzbget-server and web-interface run on different computer).

Error-message reported by OS: Connection refused (146)

Option 1 was to check if the server was running. I clicked on start and NZBget gave me feedback:

INFO: Server started successfully.

Please give the server few seconds for initialization, then refresh the page.

So I refreshed, but the problem stayed. Also according to CSI NZBget is running.

Option 2 was checking the config if the IP/Port-settings are incorrect.
The IP of my PCH is 192.168.0.17, so thats correct. The port I don't know? NZBget suggests 6789, but I don't know how to check that?

Option 3 was to check the firewall. Well, I never have to set any Firewall settings and I don't think this is the problem here.

Can anyone help me out? Thnx!

Ok, I set the COMMUNICATION WITH NZBGET-SERVER (under WEB-INTERFACE) to IP 0.0.0.0
And CLIENT/SERVER COMMUNICATION (under NZBGET-SERVER) also to IP 0.0.0.0 (the info said "If you want the server to listen to all interfaces, use "0.0.0.0"., so I gave that a try..)
Port settings both on 6789

Now this error is gone, but the webinterface says:

Server is sleeping
INFO Mon, 15 Oct 2012 23:52:15 +0200 nzbget 0. 7. 0- testing- r380 daemon- mode

I guess this is a step in the right direction (?).

Now my next thing to fit is getting Sickbeard to work with NZBget.
Under Config > Search settings > NZB Search I used the following settings:

Checked Search NZB's
NZB Method = Black hole
NZB Black Hole = /share/.nzbget/nzb

I added new shows and I seems to work! Slow as hell (73 kb/s), but I can see some action in NZBget!
Note to self: "Good work Tongue"

Server is sleeping means that its alive and waiting for an nzb so it can start downloading.

Should be faster then 73 kb/s try adding more connections, but keep an eye on performance of the player, too many will cause the NMT to stutter or even crash.

Well done (by the way) Big Grin
