Performance in FLAC files - joanbcn - 07-22-2012 09:09 PM For purposes of testing I have a database with only three albums. Two of them in FLAC format and an MP3. I do a full scan to create a new one media.db. Everything is normal when you hear the album in MP3, but when you try to play any of the albums in FLAC, the A300 system performance plummets, and it is absolutely impossible to do anything with it. Just reset it. Anyone else happens .. or is it just me? RE: Performance in FLAC files - Willem53 - 07-23-2012 07:38 AM can you post the MediaInfo data of the FLAC files? http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/es/Download if your comfortable with English then download that version please, not to many can read the Spanish report on the file. RE: Performance in FLAC files - joanbcn - 07-23-2012 09:24 AM Yes, no problem. This is the information only of some files, because it would be a post too long, but I can if anyone is interested. The information is very common to them all. Complete name : G:\B.B. King\1988 - B.B. King - King of The Blues\01 - B.B. Could your try an re-encode one flac file with Foobar and try to pay that, just to validate that they are encoded the right way.. RE: Performance in FLAC files - joanbcn - 07-23-2012 01:27 PM Yes, no problem. I tried it with a new CD, and the result is the same. It sounds, but the system plummets. In Jukebox mode (wall mode), nothing sounds... In file browser, comes to sound, but if you try to move through the folders, the movement is very very slow, until the system is falling down... NMJ immediately restarts when I try to play some FLAC albums. It seems that following tags prevents NMJ to start playing them: Part : 1 Part/Total : 1 Track name/Total : 10 I used foobar2000 to remove these tags and NMJ can now, at least, start playing such file but then NMJ is very slow and it anyway crushes after a while. RE: Performance in FLAC files - Frodonf - 08-17-2012 12:02 AM Same problem here (05-02-120711-23-POP-421-000 firmware) All files encoded with dBPowerAmp |
