Remuxing Blu-ray for use in Mediaplayer
Hello all,

As some people still refer to my old Blu-ray remuxing guide for play back on NMT/Tvix platforms, I wanted to make people aware that a new version is posted. With the advent of the "ClownBD" EAC3TO frontend and TSMUXER now correctly processing TrueHD, it's even easier to use.

http://www.mpcclub.com/modules.php?name=...ic&t=20736

Please note that I don't know (or want to know anything) about re-encoding to X264, or playback of files on PS3, so for those options, the guide is no use.

Cheers,

Why not add the actual guide here or create a WIKI page for it?

Hi Chris,

I'll look at the Wiki over the weekend, looks fairly simple to use.

Regarding posting here, would prefer to stick to one forum post as it's easier to update.

Thanks a lot.

The WIKI is an absolute doddle to put guides on. It automatically put your guide into sections etc. Need any help let me know.

To start read the WIKI, formatting, category etc pages, take you all of 5 mins.

Then create your own page entitled whatever you feel is best. Put your guide on, add the correct Category and bobs your uncle. Need any help let me know.

Guide is updated (on the MPC forum), and added to the NMT wiki.

Job well done.

Have a chat on the WIKI with Hung laxley as he has specific ideas on formatting so may have some tips to further enhance it. Looks fine to me but thereagain so did my H264 guide but he ripped it apart Big Grin

FWIW, I have written a slightly more complex version in the wiki here Advanced eac3to remuxing of Blu-Ray and HD-DVD to mkv. My version uses eac3to directly and then mkvmerge to produce a matroska file.

RE: Remuxing Blu-ray for use in Mediaplayer
The wiki has been updated to reference the new ClownBD 0.65 NMT audio options, which allows the TrueHD core passthrough bug in the current firmware to be worked around (you can select to keep both the TrueHD audio stream and an AC3 stream separately for playback on standard equipment).
