All audio has stopped working with AVI files - worked before with same files
Recently my PCH-A200 has stopped playing audio from all of my AVI files. Over the weekend I tried to play a new episode I downloaded however there was no audio. Audio works when I play the file on the PC. I went back to play previous AVI files I had that have worked before but they also have no audio. MKV's still play fine.
Any idea what might have caused all audio from AVI files to suddenly stop working? |

turn the volume up on the pch itself. more then likely someone set volume to -15

Nope thats not the issue. Volume on the pch is at 0. Like i said volume/audio for mkv files works fine.

What happens after you reset your PCH? Does it play the audio again?

I'm having the same issue on my A-210 with .avi files. It also looks like the .avi shows are running a little faster then normal play time. This just started happening to me as well. The same AVI's work fine in my WD live Plus and computers.

What is the audio connection? Is it a digital connection (coax or optical). This problem appears sometimes on my PCH since my ampifier does not have a HDMI input. On my TV I can hear sound (since it is connected by HDMI). Restarting my PCH somtimes solves that problem. Do use the latest firmware?

It is there for brussing-up the picture (like phothoshop does). This takes time. If you send the picture to the TV and sound to a separate amplifier, this problem may happen. If that is the case, you have to compensate for this delay: 1. Switch off the delay (picture-enhancement) in the TV or 2. Switch on the (same) delay in the audio Ampifier I use the first option. I dislike the "picture-enhancement" features. No forum member any more as of 23-nov-2012 |

Everything goes through my av receiver with hdmi. Worked fine a week or two ago. I've reset my unit several times. I will check some of the stuff out to serif any receiver settings changed

Fixed it. Somehow the volume on the pch was muted. Only caused problems with avi. Odd but worked. That's for all your help everyone
