RE: ÆON Movie Wall / Eversion for Oversight - Beta Version - Released
Installing lighttpd is only required when you want to use the dynamic Jukebox, without anything to be created. So, you can skip if you are building the xml/html files via build.php.

The php INFO & warnings can be skipped, and even the 'Warning: program compiled against libxml 207 using older 206' line which is even comes for me. The reason, is the binary is using the system libxml which is old than the compiled.

For the parser error, the strings has to be escaped (to be fixed in the program) the special characters, like &, ', " . I'll fix it soon in the next release.

RE: ÆON Movie Wall / Eversion for Oversight - Beta Version - Released
I put out an initial csi eversion install with some changes. basically just a csi install and some defaults with minor code changes.

the ../oversight image path turned out to not be a problem. I didn't notice the symlink to it for this.

I made some minor eversion adjustments to deal with the originalName and path changes.. However I think you'll need to change the paths for aeon to play right. I made the eversion changes backwords compatible so you adjusting the path will not break it..

I made the escape fileurl needed work if you add it or not.. again you might need it for aeon playback.

jluc already posted about the xml entities.

I couldn't fix the tv+show without breaking some of the rating indexes with + in their name. that's going to need the str_replace removed.

@lordy, if you are watching this thread, just for your info. There is a small bug in oversight DB which writes, the short genre War as w"; (adding "; at the end).
@accident, The following are the xmls created by YAMJ & build.php

I can't spot the difference between the 2 for seasons fix you said.
OK, I got it after posing. The files tag has been used once in YAMJ whereas the files has been used for each file tag in my output. I have fixed it. Apart from that any other fix required for Tv season?

ok - but just for my knowledge - everytime i want to install the lighttpd-mod-fastcgi it breaks the local_web service - is there something i could correct for that - not needed for the moment and out of the discussion - but as i don't like to stay on an error - perhaps we could go on this aspect on another thread

Quote:The php INFO & warnings can be skipped, and even the 'Warning: program compiled against libxml 207 using older 206' line which is even comes for me. The reason, is the binary is using the system libxml which is old than the compiled.
as i understand this warning as nothing to do with blank html page - am i true ?
Quote:For the parser error, the strings has to be escaped (to be fixed in the program) the special characters, like &, ', " . I'll fix it soon in the next release.
ok i will wait to test

i saw inside the database some strange genre "_G" separator
a|Drame|l|Mystere why a and l
because the movie is named 127.Hours.2010.720p.BluRay.x264.avi

RE: ÆON Movie Wall / Eversion for Oversight - Beta Version - Released
I see your post that you found it.. I would need to see the end result of a multi-season tv show and the index it appears in to tell you what's still missing..

In short:
- 1 xml file per season. (html transform with details for aeon)
- 1 Set which is a standard index with all the season in it. (html transform with index for aeon)
- any index that the tv show appears in (not the set index of season), you add the set as the details node and the fileparts are all the files of all seasons in order in 1 movie node. (pre your fixes, this part was correct)

you should post about that in the thread for that program in the dev forums as it's not limited to this.

RE: ÆON Movie Wall / Eversion for Oversight - Beta Version - Released
@accident, I may not understood clearly, so I'll create sample files for all types of files, like season, boxsets and movies and run the YAMJ with AEON skin to find the final xml file. Then I'll fix the build.php which will be a perfect one.

The blank could be because of the errors above you got. The process is the build.php will create XML from oversight db and the xlstproc program will transform XML to HTML for AEON skin. If any errors in XML file, the output html file will not be created and may be 0 bytes.

you should post about that in the thread for that program in the dev forums as it's not limited to this.

Yes I had a look on that, and found some special non-UTF8 characters needs to be escaped in XML for xslt. I'll fix it soon.

RE: ÆON Movie Wall / Eversion for Oversight - Beta Version - Released
@vaidyasr - thanks for bug report

re auto sets in Oversight - just to make things clearer--

the scraping script only scrapes the prequel/sequel information from IMDB nothing more.

The auto-box sets were computed on the fly by the GUI front end. But this has some limitations (eg no concept of a set name - eg "Bond series" )

I think, looking at the YAMJ nfo format you could simulate this in the XML as follows:

If a movie has a prequel/sequel reference that is also in the users library then add

<set>Name Set</set>

to the movie XML , where "Name" is the name of the movie ithat has the lowest(*) IMDB reference, or earliest year. even if not in the users collection.

Then personally I think that we can have a list of alternate set names in a config file somewhere:

eg.

tt0055928 Bond Series

As mentioned before series like AvP can be a bit tricky to get "right".

RE: ÆON Movie Wall / Eversion for Oversight - Beta Version - Released
I just tested:

Code:
<index name="Ã">Title_Ã_1</index>

Causes a flash load error.

Open the Catgories.xml file in notepad++, encoded the file as UTF-8 with BOM, saved. No more flash error and works.

Your saving the xml files wrong, just make sure you saving the file encoded for UTF-8 (with bom if php supports, without is ok also).

Your going to run into issues with any 2 byte character and not jsut the couple you found. Do you need help researching how to fix with php?

EDITED:
It was quick to look up:
file_put_contents($myFile, utf8_encode($myContent));

This should help with xml entities:

@vaidyasr

I just realised I haven't described how multi-part movies (single movies spread over multiple files) are stored in index.db - have you reverse engineered OK?

I don't have the sample data for simulating that. Probably if someone provide it, I can test it. I am handling the series with same title name and store in a array, the same can be done in multi part movies.

RE: ÆON Movie Wall / Eversion for Oversight - Beta Version - Released
I"m working up a larger test library now, it'll probably take all afternoon to first scan.

I'm planning on running whatever your next update is and compare what I see and you might need missing. Also to get the test setup for eskinners who can't run oversight (many don't have 200s anymore)
