C200 hangs on popcorn logo
I heard a beep coming out of my C200, so I switched the power of, after a while i switched it on again and pushed the redlight button at the front, it turns into white and the popcorn logo appears on the TV, with the text: loading.... This stays like that for hours. I switched it off and on again, but the issue remains.
I tried to recover the firmware, that went well, but the issue remains... What is happening? |

RE: C200 hangs on popcorn logo
If you have an internal HDD, disconnect it and then try if the C200 will start up properly.
If it starts then the problem is something about the HDD, and you should use GParted to check/fix errors on the disk. If it still hangs on the popcorn logo, then try installing the "recovery firmware" instead of the most current firmware. If that lets the C200 boot then do a "reset to factory settings", and then update to the latest firmware. |

RE: C200 hangs on popcorn logo
both can be true but do the HDD first... if it boots without the HDD then check for errors on the HDD... if no errors it's can be a PSU failure to provide the HDD with power...

RE: C200 hangs on popcorn logo
Well...
I tried to start up without harddisk: First try it did not start up and the on button was flashing in orange... I did a second try...No problem anymore Then I resetted to factory settings and connected the harddisk again and installed it like before... it works fine again... All the media on the harddisk readable and playable again... fjoew! But do I have to worry now or was this just an "incident"? |

RE: C200 hangs on popcorn logo
Does anybody know where to find the cheapest PSU replacement ( without solder etc...)
e.g. At HDsupplies in the Netherlands it costs € 85, at PCH in France only 39,- (and 12,- shipping) |
