RE: [C-200] Firmware 03-04-120607-21-POP-408 (Public RC) (6.7.2012)
Hi to the powers that be....

First time posting....with that being said if i need to follow a certain protocol on reporting a possible issue/bug on the RC update please let me know.

Since installing the update i have noticed on various mkv files the volume starts off rather low. which to remedy i have to lower the volume on the PCH remote to -1 that normalizes the volume then i raise the volume back to 0. not sure if anyone else has this issue i checked the thread and didn't see anything regarding it.

Thanks In Advance

after you fix the volume. hit power followed by eject on the remote that should fix it for good

I followed all steps to the letter as to what you suggested but still seems to happen. any other ideas? if you need any further information please let me know.

Thanks in advance

ok i tried your instructions a little different and that did the trick. i set it to -1 which normalized it then powered down pressed eject. when i turned it back on it stayed normalized which i then set it back to 0. powered down once more and restarted and it did the trick.

Thanks Again.

RE: [C-200] Firmware 03-04-120607-21-POP-408 (Public RC) (6.7.2012)
As all conversation and attention switched from current official C200 firmware to this C200’s RC thread, I want to post the bug concerning the official FW (no RC) 03-04-120517-21-POP-408 (as I did not upgrade to RC - I do not know if it is also present there):

Auto-playback of DVD's does not work correctly.
When there is a DVD disc inside the DVD drive and you have to reboot C200... the auto-playback (if enabled in the setup) starts too soon / too earlybefore the NMT apps are started... causing C200 to hang.
In fact if you even do not use auto-playback... and if you start the DVD playback too early after the C200 reboot... you will also hang C200.

Please fix that.

C200 (MB rev. 0946) --> HDMI --> Harman Kardon AVR 255 (firmware 0.98.3.1) --> HDMI --> Samsung LE32R71B
C200: internal 2,5” 640GB HDD, Lite-On iHOS104, All audio RAW pass through.

When things like this start to happen, I take it as a sign that something is out of wack. I personally like to write down my settings, firmware recovery, factory reset and then put back my settings. If you have drives it's best to remove them to play it safe.

I've done this twice since the c200 came out, takes 10-15 minutes but it's night and day difference in stability. It's also a trick the beta teams use to get the unit back to factory new to make sure nothing is lingering from old firmwares causing bugs that can't be recreated..

Read properly before getting smart; tupikal is asking about the next update.

The truth is we don't know exactly what the next update will be.

Your the one not reading properly.. this IS the next firmware, it's a beta test of it.. If it's not in the first post it's not in the next online updating release. there might be some more bug fixes added to the list but there's not going to be anything new added.

Yeah i follow you. best to play it safe when playing around with beta firmware. i did the firmware upgrade then did the factory reset with the drive removed then reinitialized my setting's and was back up and running. i guess this just seemed to be a hiccup hiding out after doing the upgrade.

reset is good but recovery fully formats and retests the nand. I'd say when everyone else seems to not have a particular bug but you do, it's time to recover. or your system just seems really unstable.

Any chance that the problem with logging into password protected samba shares is fixed before I update to this firmware?
03-04-120517-21-POP-408-000 was a complete waste of time and effort.

I login to password protected samba shares without any issues... Are there any special conditions with your equipment?
Could you please explain what your problem is (you may help me avoid this problem, too..)Wink
