Everyone should know how to do those things already, its been good training
![]() Remember you only need to do a Recovery if you have a few issues after updating. Factory Reset before and after a firmware update. A config backup for network shares and other settings would be a great addition now that more owners do the factory reset. RE: [A-2x0] Firmware 03-04-120807-21-POP-411 (03-04-111220-21-POP-411) (10.08.2012)
The release notes mention that there is a DNS issue that is supposed to be fixed in this update.
I get a lot of errors last weeks when I am downloading with NZBgetweb interface. It concerns the Error nr 11. could not receive data from socket, unknown resolver error. Never had any problems with downloading for 2 years right now. And now suddenly out of nowhere these errors pop up. Also after a while it's impossible to acces NZBget Web interface from the Internet Explorer when typing in the right IP adress with port 8066. I just can't get in. Also it's impossible to acces the harddrive of my PCH by windows explorer by typing in the right IP adress. It looks like if the PCH has lost it's connection with the modem/router. I read a lot on this forum and there was a user that had the same errors. The cause of his error was that there was also DNS problem with his modem/router that was fixed bij a firmware update of his ISP. But this had nothing to do with firmware of the PCH Can it be that my problems are related with the DNS issue that is fixed in this new firmware? I hope so. I am now using a static IP adress. Hopefully someone can advise me. |

Remember this is not a help thread it is just for reporting issues with this firmware release.
Post in the torrent/usenet section if you have problems. Always update both firmware AND NMT Apps if the release notes tell you there is a new version of the NMT Apps. The last firmware also had a NMT Apps update, this one not. You should be able to tell by checking the version numbers. Using a static ip has server me well over the years of NMT ownership. I'd stick with it if you have it working and have two DNS addresses that you know work well. Using ip's that you are familiar with helps when setting up your home network, plus they never change unlike DHCP. It's probably possible to make a third party tool to do this right now. I don't really make little standalone tools but if someone might want to attack this, feel free to start a thread in the dev forums. |

I had actually asked about how to backup the shares in the c200 section, because having to add again 10+ nfs shares is really a PITA..
Now you are considering about creating a tool to restore all settings? It would be a really awesome thing!!!

I've installed this new POS, reset to factory settings etc etc managed to get an IP address yet can't connect successfully to anything on the network and play anything. If i can get to any files the PCH cant play them and crashes, I have had to force reboot five times. Thanks Syabas ...

The last update required to use static IP, which was supposed to be fixed with this one, to no avail. Tried DHCP, then back to static, but still no internet. Great job. What now?
Edit: Everything except the App Market is working now after changing subnet mask from the router´s 255.255.255.255 to 255.255.255.0. Edit2: Finally the Google DNS Servers 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4. , at least these numbers are remote friendly. |

The new FW works perfectly!
The only thing is that I cannot access to my nfs share as long as they have blanks in the name. In the past it was never an issue. I can live with that but without the underlines it would look nicer for the next version I hope you can change the keyboard to another language setting. My keyboard has a slightly different order than us keyboards. |

Ever since I have updated my A-200 cannot access any Internet features!! The IP address is there, but nothing will connect.
