I have YAMJ and have tried several differnt ways of naming my files for YAMJ and have not been able to figure it out. For anyone with Band of Brothers, how exactly do you have your files named so the series only appears once in the title menu? Thank you very much for the help.

I have:

Band of Brothers s01e01 - Curahee.ts
Band of Brothers s01e02 - Day of Days.ts

etc, and it works great with YAMJ.

Worked great thanks! Can anyone describe exactly how to change the plot description? I searched and found that you have to change it in the nfo but I can not find a nfo file??? Again, all help is greatly appreciated. Smile

im just trying to work this out now, YAMJ keeps looking at the tvdatabase but there is an error so i get no picture and a page full of plot line, will try a rename now cheers

This is a new feature for tvshows, however, and is only in the current development release and not the previous 1.0.14 release.
But, creating the actual NFO is fairly simply. Since it's just a plain text file, you can use any text editor you like, and type in the xml as you see it on that wiki page. It's important to note that the NFO file needs to be named exactly the same as the video file, but with a .nfo extension, and needs to exist in the same directory.
But if all you wanted to change was the plot, then the nfo could look as simple as this:

<tvshow>

    <plot>My super duper cool plot description here</plot>

</tvshow>

Or you can add whatever additional fields you want overridden.

But if you want to use this functionality for tvshows before the 1.0.15 release officially happens, you'll either have to download a dev build from Omertron's site here http://omertron.com/pch/, or download the source and build yourself.
