RE: Community software installer 1.0
NZBGet Web Interface v 1.3 (testing 2) not able to connect to server?

Prior to installing via the community installer app, I was able to access the web interface and have connection to the server.

I stopped server via telnet, installed the NZBget via installer, then started server again, but have run into this problem.

If I reinstall the NMT apps, it reverts back to NZBget v1 web interface, and it connects fine.

In NMT setup screen, the usenet client service is always showing "starting", but still works if the version is NZBget0.4 as apposed to not working when version 0.6 is installed with the community installer.
Any Ideas?

Bug on the installer : the homepage for NZBget 0.6.0-test2 links to "transmission for NMT"

Great, I was going to try it out here with a clean install. Currently downloading multiple files with NZBget so I needed to wait to test it. Good to hear it works, now I do not need to test it anymore Smile

Regarding the homepage, yeah: I should create a new thread for it on these forums and link to that perhaps.

Thank you for the very elaborate report! Something seems to go wrong at you computer while downloading the installer files. I suggest you use the Portable ZIP file. Hopefully not too many people can't use the installer successfully, it's a nice way of installing and updating.

Same probs here.... In my case it seems to be a problem with ssl encryption.
In the template file there is no default entry for encryption -> must be yes or no. -> The server didn't start at all before setting this option.

When I use nzbget without ssl everything works fine.
If I turn on SSL encryption I can't connect to the server. The server script starts the nzb daemon but the daemon stops itself immediately.
But if the nzbget is started not as daemon but as console server even the SSL works fine....

First part is not true, I am able to connect just fine without specifying the encryption part in nzbget.conf

The second item is interresting, openssl fails when running in daemon mode (thus user nmt). Console mode (root?) works, I guess something is wrong with the shared library file rights.
Could you please test running the daemon in console mode using user nmt?
Code:
/bin/su -p -c "/mnt/syb8634/bin/nzbget -c /share/.nzbget/nzbget.conf" nmt

FATAL ERROR: Wrong value " " for option "Server1.Encryption"
[FAILED]

It's true... ;-) but it seems that it was my fault.... Sorry... First I've tried the ssl option and it didn't work - so I deleted the yes and forgot to enter no - because the option was empty by default... The Web Interface wrote the empty line Server1.Encryption in the config and that caused the error... I did the telnet tests after trying SSL mode and so I thought the Server1.Encryption string was there all the time...

So in short, ssl is working in daemon and command mode now?
Conclusion: just do not enter nothing in encryption for the server and leaving it out completely out of nzbget.conf is also fine.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Thanks for the report.
First of all, please use code tags around error messages to keep the topic readable.

I've added a more readable error message when this occurs, but the problem will remain.
The error states that the NMT (or anything in between) forcibly closed the ftp connection.
Could be anything from a very busy NMT to a unstable network connection.
Not a program error, sorry!

RE: Community software installer 1.0
Hello,

just found today this installer. So I decided to give it a chance.
I used the "normal" Version and the portable Version, but it will not work.

I can update the repository and also download themes, but when I try to download any application I get an error message
[Image: error.JPG]

But my internet connection is working.

Please retry, was a glitch on the Repository server side, is fixed now.

New telnetd and busybox
Hi all, lots of downloads and installs are being done and almost no new posts in this topic: good sign!
I am going to create a new telnet daemon installer release soon, including a very complete busybox in it.

Package maintainers wanted
Soon I am going to add a new installer method to the program, which will allow you to install, reinstall, uninstall and update packages.
When this is done I may need some help for maintaining the new packages. The package maintainers should support their packages,
create new package releases based upon the new release of software developers and, at a minimum, should have some linux skills!
If you would like to become a package maintainer: please send me a PM!

What application / theme is missing?
Now I am just curious: what software / themes are lacking in the installer and should be added?
