RE: B110 Motherboard layout
by any chance are the analogue ports removable on their own whilst leaving the optical ones ?
any chance someone could post a picture of the rear ports and how they fix to the board
i.e. the opposite direction to this
http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t116/...utputs.jpg
I want to puit mine in this case but the analogue ports are too high

thanks

Thats a great start.
Maybe just me being a bit picky but
  • What is UART ?
  • What is FIP ?
  • I would have the 2 options for J31 & J44 on the same line rather than underneath each other
  • I'd give the breakouts at the bottom of the page for 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 11, 13 a title e.g. "front panel connectors", "cpu fan options" etc. to explain what they are
  • a small description for why you'd want to use either of the 2 power options or fan options

Hope that helps but just this description sheet is a great step in the right direction thanks.

RS-232 serial port

Future option, but I'm guessing the lines from the 8635 internal FIP hardware block that can be used to interface to a LED, LCD, or VFD display using a few supported NEC and PTC controller chips.

The LCD port I'm guessing is the 24-bit parallel digital video out (or 12-bit w/ DDR maybe). Though it's hard to trace anything on PCBs w/ BGAs.

Everything else looks pretty self explanatory to me.

Don't forget though, if you did use a 500w PSU, and the B-110 is drawing 60w, you're probably still burning up around 120w at the power point because PSUs are quite ineffecient at low power usage. (I think even the 80%+ efficient PSUs only claim that at usage levels above 20% of rated capacity.)

So don't go bigger than you have to..

That is printed on the ATX connector plate - at least it is on mine anyway.

Hi Werner...

Did I buy a product that was unfinished , when I purchased the B-110 motherboard or did popcornhour developers put it on the market in need of money issues developing the C-200 model, since you appearently have stoppped working on getting the b-110 finished.

Im still missing fix of the analog outputs (why put in on the motherboard if its not or never going to be used ???)

Copied in from .pdf ....

Note : LCD, FIP & mini-PCI WiFi modules will be available as upgrade options from Popcorn Hour in the future.

Absolutely nothing happend with these issues....and you have now stopped selling and producing the b-110.....

If your'e not going to finish this I will consider this as a question of fraud to your customers that have bought the product...

Regards
Svaneborg

RE: B110 Motherboard layout
I absolutely agree with Svaneborg.

I own a B-110 and I have the same impression of a not-finished product.
