RE: MediatankController 1.0 for iPhone - browse and control your NMT from your phone
It's moments like these i wish i bought a iphone istead of a windows mobile phone
![]() Anyway i really hope you or someone else can make a template for other mobile OS, as the latest version does not work at all in opera, and is all screwed up in windows mobile. So i've downloaded a version i found somewhere in this thread (0.3) which seem to work OK in opera except for the remote part (which ill try to fix myself) Anyway keep up the great work! |

Running the app in 2.1, 2.2 and 2.2.1 fails. Hi Niels, Have you found a solution for this problem? I have an iPhone with 2.2.1 OS version and I don't see the images. I prefer not to update the iPhone so I wonder if you have found a solution for this so I can avoid the iphone update. Thanks in advance! |

remote works but now browsing for media ?
I started seeing an odd behavior recently. i can use the "Remote" control buttons to turn on my NMT, and start/stop media. However, if I try to use the "Contents" UI and browse for a movie or TV video through the iPhone, whenever I hit a folder, it just spins like it is trying to do something.
I am sure I did this prior to the 1.0 release but i can't now. |

Change the line containing the html tag and remove the manifest attribute. This will disable the HTML5 offline application support and fix the problem. I think the SQL database on your iPhone has become corrupted. That database is used to store a cache of the data retrieved from the NMT. You can solve this by removing the database by using the Settings app. Just open that app on your iPhone and go to the Safari settings. Then go to databases and click Edit. Then remove the jsonstore database. The next version has a couple of bugfixes that caused the curruption of the database. RE: MediatankController 1.0 for iPhone - browse and control your NMT from your phone
I like your work to start of.
Well, I have a problem loading the screen on my iPod. After going to "http://[nmt ip]:9999/MediatankController_web/" on the iPod I just get a loading screen "http://[nmt ip]:9999/MediatankController_web/themes/iphone/index.html#_loading". I can click and then view About but no other "link" like contents, favorites... What I see on my screen is first the logo for pch and underneath that "MediatankController for iPhone and iPod Touch". I installed the latest version with CSI earlier today but can´t get through this step. (I also rebooted the Pch) Any ideas what to do? |

RE: remote works but now browsing for media ?
Hi,
thank you for this great app which was in fact the reason why I bought a pch A110! But I have some problems to get it working. We I browse on my Iphone Firmware 3.1 to my music folder (all mp3s) it does show just one song instead of five (I can play all songs on my pch without using the mediatankcontroller). I have myihome running and telnet installed. Furthermore I have lighttpd 1.4.23 installed. The mediatankcontroller.air regonizes busybox26 installed on pch. Playing the one song selected through the iphone works fine. What I tried so far is: 1) tried the MediatankController.air which lists correctly all files, 2) checked the rights and ownership of my mp3 files (which are all the same owner and group is nmt), 3) delete the database under safari settings 4) tried with the safari on my mac (same problem although browsing is much faster) 5) uninstalled and reinstalled the MediatankController with CSI 6) tried it from a different iphone Is there any way to deactivate the caching or building the directory index on my pch (if a index is even build)? Is there any way to rebuild the index on the pch? Does the MediatankController.air use the same infrastructure? Since I am new to a nmt, is there any other requirement accept telnet with busy-box and myihome sever? Thank you very much and please keep up the good work :-)! |

rearranging remote control buttons ?
Hi Niels - I am trying to rearrange the buttons on the remote. In the early releases, it was a simple matter of editing the index.html file and moving the order around. Now, with all the great work to support landscape/portrait rotation and caching, I can not seem to figure out where to make my edits.
I am trying to get the zoom, page-up/page-down, and power buttons to be just below the FFW/REV/SLOW row so I can get to them without scrolling the screen. I use these button often so it's just a personal preference and not an enhancement request :-) |

RE: MediatankController 1.0 for iPhone - browse and control your NMT from your phone
Hi Niels,
First thanks again for this awesome app. I used it on my ipod for some time but my ipod crashed and I was forced to move to V 3.2 of the OS. Since then running the app crash the ipod with no other way than restauring it. The screen freeze and the ipod is not responsive at all.... I tried to use the device without the controller and it works fine but as soon as I connect to the app it crashs... Any thoughts? Many thanks in advance, Antoine |

MediatankController 1.0 for iPhone - browse and control your NMT from your phone
Hi,
I haven't solved my problem that mediatankcontroller 1.0 is not showing the entire music folder content but I could identifier a little bit more the source of the problem! It seams that when lighthttp (1.4.23-nmt2) is installed mediatankcontroller is not showing a waiting circle when the refresh/reload button is pressed! So I get only empty music sub folders displayed. But when I deinstall lighthttp then the music subfolders are still displayed as being empty, but after pressing the reload button I waiting circle gets displayed and after a while the content appears. Could it be the lighthttp doesn't forward the folder refresh request to the internal web server? Or if it does instead of waiting for the result it responses with the pre-cached result which is no content and displays it? And would be nice to get mediatankcontroller working with lighthttp since it seams to be much faster ... Can anyone tell me this is a issue of my installation or an issue with lighthttp or if I am running into a bug of nils great application? The strange thing is that every thing is working much smother with the air application Niels created. |
