Download and install the latest version of Music Jukebox Release 8.1 MJB 8.1 to use this new release

Read the readme.txt to customize this skin

MJB 8.1 IS MANDATORY to allow the skin to work .

Many thanks for Wandidj for MJB and Rutabaga which create the original skin, and apologies for my bad english.

general description:
MusicJukebox R8 (MJB) allow to generate a Jukebox for Music with photo link, with this skin JLRutaMJB, you are able to generate either a photojukebox with link to music playlist, a musicjukebox with link to photo slideshow, or a mixt photo/music jukebox with link to photo slideshow or music playlist

the photojukebox could be used to play

- single photo
- photo album
- with shuffle mode
- with or without music playlist (shuffle or not shuffle)
- with party mode - is the same than shuffle but repeat XX time

the musicjukebox could be used to play

- single song (with thumb or photo slideshow)
- music album
- with shuffle mode
- with or without photo slideshow (shuflle or not shuffle)
- with party mode - is the same than shuffle but repeat XX time

the organisation which is taken should be constructed as MJB requirement:
- Music : genre/artist/album/song
- Photo: theme/Album/subject/photo

the photojukebox display :
- thumb for each subject
- name or thumb for each photo

new features:

- display from (allow to start a slideshow from the photo where the cursor is positionned)
- navigation inside genre/theme, artist/album, album/subject
- generate playlist and slideshow automatically inside playlist page
- allow to link any playlist with any slideshow
- allow to shuffle playlist link or slideshow link
- add date time in main index page
- allow to customise function with remote button
- allow to customise the text inside each page
- allow to search a photo or a song

pre-requisit
to run this skin some program should be installed first: MJB R8.1
follow MJB instruction and MJB manual or refer to the MJB forum MJB Forum

Installation

STEP 1 - download skin package

STEP 2 install:
unzip into MJData Folder/skin on your PC

STEP 3 - customize:
customize JLRutaMJB skin - like describe in readme.txt

STEP 4 - run musicjukebox
select JLRutaMJB_V1.4 skin
customize all tags as you want
to help i provide an exemple of a running config for photo
photojukeboxsample.xml

for photojukebox don't forget:
- to load configuration (like photojukeboxsample.xml)


FAQ:

- to generate photo thumb while using MJB interface - always select Detele HTML First

- you could create outside MJB all the photo thumb using CreateThumbAll.bat - could take a very long time depending of your album size

- if some thumb are missing while creating html page - use in default.install
wait="true" inside the <filecommand> section
ex: <FILECOMMAND regex="^.+(\.jpg$)|(\.bmp$)|(\.gif$)" parameters="verbose" wait="true">CreateThumb.cmd</FILECOMMAND>

i'm working to correct some little problems , the main one , which isn't a bug but a limitation in the good usage with this skin, is the time needed to generate the thumnail

- with the r8beta version - it tooks with my album (8500 photos) arround 6 hours ==> too much - even if the all album need to be complited with thumb once
i made some optimisation with imagemagick feature and a lot of work to find how all the option works - and now it's arround 1h15mn for 8500 photos
divides by 5 - could be acceptable because run once
because of that time i finish to debug the CreateThumAll.bat program which allow to generate the thumb out of MJB itself , it's a standalone program which run the night and doesn't interfer with MJB run and the html page generated too, you can use it with the jukebox running on the PCH.

I 'm waiting for one or 2 corrections in the pipe with wandidj to adjust the skin and produce the R8beta1

Voila, en fait j'ai des Mp3 dans le dossier "Music" d'ou l'installation de MusicJukebox et de son skin d'origine.

j'ai également des photos dans le dossier "Photo" et j'aurai aimé appliquer JLRutaMJB uniquement sur ce dossier, sans modifier le skin des MP3.

Est ce possible ?

sorry to answer in english , but there is a lot of pepole who doesn't speak french , and could be interested with the discussion .

yes of course, you could use another folder, like "photo" and create a "Photojukebox" which is independant of the MusicJukebox

you can combine both or generate a standalone jukebox , for that, you have to create a new config which point to the folder you want and could generate a jukebox with the name you want - could be photojukebox for photo and musijukebox for music , so 2 folder with 2 navigations

Ok, i created a "Photojukebox" folder on the NMT, inside are my pictures under this type : /Genre/album title/pictures.

I generate thumbnails with batch file, OK this part is DONE.

I modify paths into music jukebox software (Images folder instead music folder.. etc...) with Photojukebox real path and Menuphoto for the menu.

I select "JLrutaMJB" skin" which is immediatly loaded in T:\Menuphoto, i checkthe "delete html" box, and I click on "Generate HTML".

So, at this point, when i go to the Menuphoto folder, i have no HTML file. And when i go to the Menu\index_main.htm, i click on any album, songs are gone, i have Photo menu withs icons, but no pictures or songs..

I did something wrong ?

I have a last question. I configured the "PhotoJukebox_r8beta.xml" file in Config Sample, but... In which folder do i upload it ?

you have to check JLRutaMJB-options.xsl in JLRutatMJB skin folder
if you have setted the variable
<xsl:variable name="Display_OnPC">1</xsl:variable>
if you just want to display on the PCH set to 0
otherwise you have to set IP address of your PCH
<xsl:variable name="IP_PCH">192.168.1.102</xsl:variable>

the htm page are stored in PhotoJukebox - if specified in PhotoJukebox_r8beta.xml

the config should be stored in the MJData folder created inside the PC within the installation of MJB

if not set - publish the config i could take a look

something strange within your rar
2 folders MJData
i supposed you are using the config photojukebox_r8beta in the 2nd folder MJData (not the one inside the skin ?)
several comment
the skin used is JLRutaMJB_r8b22 which doesn't exist
select JLRutaMJB inside the list box of MJB
the share folder point to Photo_test rather than Photo
you havn't set the first page in MJB to point to your Photo folder (pch)
(after you maid modification on the config - save it with your own name )
move all the xml file you find in JLRutaMJB under MJData
adjust TVID's with your's



the main reason is the organsiation of your photo directory

should

photo/theme/album/subject/photo_picture

if the photo_picture are just under Share/photo MJB program assume that there is no photo
if you want to skip theme unselect first folder is genre
but album/subject should be present in the hierarchy

In fact, I have only one folder MJData, but Winrar has created one during the compression, i don't know why..

So, i carefully read your instructions and i have made some adjustements :

1) Set PhotoJukebox_r8beta.xml like that :
INPUT : W:\Photo\ (T: was just for example on my first message)
MENUPATH : HARD_DISK/Menuphoto
OUTPUT : W:\Menuphoto\
SHARE : HARD_DISK/Photo
SKIN : JLRutaMJB_r8b22

2) rename folder skin "JLRutaMJB" in "JLRutaMJB_r8b22"
3) Move XML files from JLRutaMJB_r8b22 to MJData
4) configure PHOTOTVIDs.xml
5) Rename config file "PhotoJukebox_r8beta.xml" in "dadoo.xml" (huuu why...?)
6) reorganise photo directory like that : Root/Photo/Private/Travels and monuments/Eiffel tower June 2009/ (photos are inside Eiffel tower june 2009 folder)

Ooops I have a problem again...

When I'm on main page (file:///W:/Menuphoto/index_main.htm) i can see the image of my picture folder with title like "Travels and monuments
Eiffel tower June 2009", it's ok

BUT when i click on this image, that not conduct me to the folder, but there -> file:///W:/Menuphoto/Travels_and_monuments_Eiffel_tower_June_2009.htm -> FILE NOT FOUND

For memory, my photo directory is : Root/Photo/Private/Travels and monuments/Eiffel tower June 2009/ (photos are inside Eiffel tower june 2009 folder)

I kept same configuration of directory than upper. And i have NOT checked "Folder name Desnote Artist- Album"

PS : i have secund no fatal error each time when generating html : WriteXMLPhotoAlbum Exception : impossible de trouver une partie du chemin d'accès W:/Menuphoto/Playlists/Slides_Allslide.jsp

1rst pb :

the pb append when you test with the PC or with the PCH ? with the pc it's normal it's a limitation , with the pch it's not normal ,

check if the output folder you enter with MJB interface is correct - should be w:\Menuphoto and HARD_DISK\Menuphoto - case sensitive

the second problem:
edit the playlistlinks.xml with either MJB or blocnote and suppress the link inside

The problem is on both. Same link error on the PCH, "la demande ne peut être exécutée"

Output folders checked, paths are correct

Playlists are deleted (only one on xml file, not appear on MJB), error still there

I think to reinstall fully MusicJukebox with full delete first..

In this case, must I install MJB 7.4 first, then MJB 8 Beta, or just yours ?
