Creating my own Season/Series of a TV show - how?

I have created a folder with all the Simpsons Christmas specials in it and I would like to name them and create my own nfo so they show up as a seperate season (named Christmas or something like that) within the Simpsons set.

Is this possible?

It would probably be best if YAMJ didn't search on this one so I would like to name it consistantly and create an nfo so populate the page. How should I name it and word the NFO?

Yes, create the nfo files and make sure that the ID is 0 so that it doesn't scrape the internet. Or you could check on thetvdb and see if they are in the specials there

Id be amazed if the simpsons xmas specials werent supported somewhere on tvdb.com....take a look in the specials section as Omertron suggests....

@Stuart - off hand do you know if there is an enhancement request for writing individual tv episode plots through nfos? If not i will add one....would enhance my home videos no end....

The simpsons specials are listed as part of the shows but from what I can tell they are just listed in the various seasons.

These are the ones I have pulled out so far:

The Simpsons S01E01 Roasting On An Open Fire [1989]
The Simpsons S07E11 Marge Be Not Proud [1995]
The Simpsons S09E10 Miracle On Evergreen Terrace [1997]
The Simpsons S11E09 Grift Of The Magi [1999]
The Simpsons S12E08 Skinner's Sense Of Snow [2000]
The Simpsons S13E06 - She of Little Faith [2001]
The Simpsons S14E18 Dude, Where's My Ranch [2003]
The Simpsons S15E07 'Tis The Fifteenth Season [2003]
The Simpsons S17E09 Simpsons Christmas Stories [2005]
The Simpsons S18E09 Kill Gil, Volumes I & II [2006]

So you can see they are from loads of different seasons and I want to create a new season just for this lot.

Ok, heres what i would do - name them as above and run YAMJ - this will generate video image for each one. Take the video images out of the Jukebox folder and put them next to your video files....rename the shows and corresponding files as follows....

The Simpsons Xmas Specials.S01.E01.avi
The Simpsons Xmas Specials.S01.E02.avi
The Simpsons Xmas Specials.S01.E03.avi

Video images should be named...

The Simpsons Xmas Specials.S01.E01.videoimage.jpg

Then just add a cover and some fanart using the same naming convention.

To make sure YAMJ doesnt scrape the net, add an nfo called...

The Simpsons Xmas Specials.S01.E01.nfo

and write the following in it...

Code:

<Tv Show>
<id>0</id>
</Tv Show>

You will not get episode plots this way though sadly...

No, the whole TV NFO section needs updating.

Kool, no probs, I actually had another request too thinking about it, I will add it as another issue, and that is for file size info in the csv output from YAMJ....I want to make a master list of my stuff and that would be really useful
