RE: [CSI] ** UPDATED ** Community Software Installer 2.6.2 (NEW THREAD)
Hello
I just tried running CSI but it didn't work. I'm getting the Can't connect to FTP server error. I checked things, at least if I know what they mean. CSI does upload the files to the PCH root folder, but when Installing it gives a Can't connect to FTP error. The FTP server is on. (Checked with Filezilla) CSI is run from a local drive I'm sure that the IP is correct and so are the password and the username (It wouldn't let me connect with Filezilla otherwise I guess). I did shut down Filezilla when running CSI. I'm not sure what 'Remove Foreign folders' is supossed to mean, but the only folders in the root are 'Download', 'Video', 'Music' and 'Photo'. When typing in the Apps filepath it says that the path doesn't exist. Clean Deep doesn't work (Also get a FTP error). Should I try reinstalling the NMT Apps from a USB drive? Edit: Reinstalled the NMT apps from a USB. Still not working. Uploading goes fine again, but when installing I get the same error. Edit: Code: 26-12-2009 15:08:55;Error;WebException during install method of UploadInstaller;Host is onbekend; at com.nmtinstaller.csi.Utilities.FtpCommands.SendCommand(String server, String username, String password, String command, Boolean keepOpen) in F:\Ger Data\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\NMTApplicationInstaller\trunk\Utilities\FtpCommands.cs:line 569 - at com.nmtinstaller.csi.Utilities.FtpCommands.SetExecutePermissions(String server, String username, String password, String filename, Boolean keepOpen) in F:\Ger Data\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\NMTApplicationInstaller\trunk\Utilities\FtpCommands.cs:line 530 - at com.nmtinstaller.csi.Utilities.HttpCommands.StartScript(String server, String script) in F:\Ger Data\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\NMTApplicationInstaller\trunk\Utilities\HttpCommands.cs:line 153 - at com.nmtinstaller.csi.Utilities.UploadInstaller.InstallThread() in F:\Ger Data\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\NMTApplicationInstaller\trunk\Utilities\UploadInstaller.cs:line 180Just some info. PCH got a 1.5TB HDD (Internal) CSI running from Windows XP Computer has a wire connection to the router |

First of all: excellent report. Just the way I like it
![]() Could you try connecting to the nmt using ip address instead of hostname? I think that will solve your problem. Easy way of installing software on your NMT using just your mouse: NMT Community Software Installer |

RE: [CSI] ** UPDATED ** Community Software Installer 2.6.2 (NEW THREAD)
Previous version of csi (2.6.0 I believe) worked just fine (only used it to install oversight, nothing else). Today I upgraded to csi version 2.6.2 but now it gives me a "Connection error while trying to connect to Networked Media Tank" when I try to install or upgrade software.
FTP server is running and I can access the nmt through FTP like I always did, so no changes in that area. Running csi on a linux (Ubuntu 9.10) laptop. |

Ah, missed that one, apologies.
Unfortunately, now it hangs on "Checking repository Philofred" during starting up the app, but I guess that's due to that repo being offline or so? |

I click those buttons any nothing happen Reinstalling works by installing it on top of the current app and works fine. Regarding uninstall etc you're right. The current mono is broken and cannot display message boxes. I'm going to file a bugreport on this by mono. For the time being use an older mono or remove the apps folder from the app folder and restart the nmt. RE: [CSI] ** UPDATED ** Community Software Installer 2.6.2 (NEW THREAD)
CSI has always worked like a dream but since upgrading to 2.6.2 the program hangs on 'fetching currrent app info' - ive tried to reinstall but won't find the app info at all... any ideas?... if not is there a link to the previous version as I'd like to revert back before I start having to remove apps and do a clean install
![]() EDIT - Ignore me, my PCH was having a hissy fit .. rebooted after another problem and now all sweet |
