Please be informed that Popcorn Hour C-200 firmware release:
02-02-100109-19-POP-408-000
and NMT apps:
02-01-091203-19-POP-408
is available for update.

THIS RELEASES IS CURRENTLY ONLY RELEASED ON THE FORUM, WE WILL RELEASE NEXT WEEK ON POPCORNHOUR.COM AND ALSO MAKE IT READY FOR ONLINE UPDATE.

1.) If you need the NMT Apps then go to Setup => Maintenance and start the NMT Setup Wizard
2.) Choose "Typical Setup...." for Update or "Fresh Setup....." for a fresh installation with formatting your Harddrive
3.) when asking for Setup Source choose USB
4.) Installation will start
5.) after rebooting you should be on latest Firmware and Apps

!!!EXTRA NOTES ABOUT APPCENTER!!!

Appcenter is RobG based, as we call it, it will bring the first 5 apps (WheaterBug, PicoChannel, Photobucket, Shoutcast and Revision3), which you will also get on the Popbox, please take not,e that this is the first cut, so there are some issues with it!!! like performance is not smooth in some cases, resulting blackscreens, ............................., so no need to complain about it, it should be more seen as a sneak for you all, to show you where we are moving, we are working also on a new Rich UI, which will replace the current UI, this will also be RobG based, but for that you all need to wait a little bit longer, we are working hard to bring it asap, we will show a preview when we think it is time to do so

1.) If you get black screen, hanging or something else, then press the EJECT Button on your Remote, it will kill the RobG and bring you back to the UI
2.) after using the Appcenter, it could happen that other playback runs into problems, so a reboot after using the Appcenter is recommended

BD Playback without internal HDD

DVD Region Setting:
1.) Insert an DVD Disc which has the Region you wanna setup, if the Region is not the same as the Disc has, it wont work!

4.) now an popup shows up, on the remote use the number for the region you wanna set.

1.) go into Setup (no need to put an BluRay into the drive)

I still have problems conetion to my windows pc witch samba.
The problem I think is when the windows pc have a user with a username and password then the problem start, when I click the nettwork icon and browse my nettwork and I click on a pc that have a password then it ust say nothing fond go back.

But when trying to add a share in the settings menu under the nettworkshares then it will not work I have tryed difrent things in the ip/host line and in share folder stil nothing.

I'm unsure if I'm to stupid but its not easy.

My xbox1 moded version with the popular Mediacenter software is having no problems at all conecting, and that software plays everything that exist.
Cant you guys learn from that team ? if you have tryed to conact them I bet they are willing to help out and make a exelent sorftware for all off your popcorn boxes. It cant hurt to ask them.

This release is a status quo for me.
The video files that gave me problems still have those problems, but I expected this as it is not mentionned in the release notes and I already saw some feedback that the issue is with the Sigma SDK and that part is not updated yet.
What suprises me is that tagging and coverart for FLAC files does not work for me. It worked right after the update (I believe) but since running the new flash interface or reboot(don't know anymore), none of my FLAC files show tags (and they work fine on my pc). I even reflashed the firmware but the isse remains. Anyone has the same issue?

Thanks for this new firmware !

- Sound on Blu-ray Disc works fine
- CD Audio works fine too

But for me, the two most importants bugs are not resolved:
1) "Random Black screen from hdmi resync" only when I play a DVD 720x576 PAL (or an ISO) from HDD, BD-Rom or USB Drive.
No black screen with MKV files and I don't understand why...

2) "MKV Lip sync audio issue "

Question: can we have an ETA for the YcBCR hdmi ouptut (and of course for deep color compatibility as on official specs)?

Also: with the YcBCR output will be available some kind of "deep color upsampling" for non deep color files?

c-200 is getting better by the each firmware update..
now i can keep my expectations alive..
as of today, my first priority is to see new gui on c-200.

HD audio is fixed (can now play DD TrueHD and other HD formats).
Connecting to WiFi without the AP beaconning the SSID is fixed.

However, before the upgrade i could play the retail BD 'UP' (region B). Picture was perfect, HD sound did not work (audio via HSMI to my TV set worked).

Now, after the upgrade, same BD 'UP', i can play the trailers, but as soon as the feature film starts the C200 freezes and i have to use the off/on switch at the back. Other (older) BD's play ok. The bonus disc gives the same problem.

Tried all kinds of possible combinations of settings on the C200 (thanks for all the suggestions), nothing seem to work.
Again, before the upgrade i could play this BD, and my hardware setup have not changed on bit.
