I'm sure the new firmware will be worth the wait folks but please remember that at ~75MB for the complete package including apps it may take some time to download especially as everyone will probably be jumping on it at once.

well, what's the server's bandwidth? at 16 Mb it shouldn't take very long really
 like less than a minute or so... hehe

If the firmware is 75MB+; I think it would be recommended to do a USB install that over the network?

Network install is fine. It doesn't flash anything till it's downloaded and CRC Checked.
