Streaming Netflix via C200 to HD Television

Anyone Please !

Netflix just came to Canada and we are excited as it is long over due.
Cable Companies have ripped us off long enough.

I noticed that Popcorn Hour C200 allows streaming video from my computer to HD Television and that there are also other Media Services available on the C200 that allow streaming sources to be viewed.

Netflix will stream using XBox, Playstation, Wii, Ipad or Iphone, Western Digital TV.

I do not see how I can use my new Popcorn Hour C200 to stream Netflix to my TV.

Surely to God it must be possible...otherwise why did I bother to purchase this expensive hardware if it cant be done.

Somebody please help me out as I am new to this product and all input will be appreciated. Smile

Comish

No. There is no Netflix support on the pch products.

Roku boxes are around $60 now. They stream Netflix.

I'm in the same boat... just north of Toronto (richmond hill)
Signed up for netlix 2 seconds after the announcement.
I have a PS3 so I can stream via that, but I love the ability to play my DVD/Bluray backup ISOs and video files. I'd like to downsize and use only one player... If the PS3 could play BD ISOs or the C-200 could do Netflix I'd be a happy camper. The Apple TV (original) is now permanently off. At least that's one less remote to play with.

Give it time. Roku will probably be debuting a product soon for the Canadian market.

So why did I purchase a Popcorn Hour Box that is limited in its use.

Show us where you saw Netflix was supported on the PCH

As you can see by my flag I'm as far from America as you can get, however I researched the pch before I bought mine

If you look at the specifications Netflix is not mentioned anywhere, can't see how you think it supports it

Netflix requires a special license to use. Pch has never had this license, nor has it ever advertised it as having it. No where in any pch documentation does it say Netflix streaming is supported.

Since playon does not support netflix.ca, there is NO WAY to watch it on your c-200.

Netflix instant just came to Canada days ago. Give the market a bit of time to adapt, and I'm sure there will be products that will stream to your tv.

Stay away from personal insults its not allowed and very foolish. Name calling is for the school yard.

Netflix is not supported on the NMT. If it were then the device wouldn't be an NMT because Netflix insist on all devices that run it being restricted from user access. So things like user apps and shell access would go straight away. A lot more if you really think about it.

A400: SD Card(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD ROM (SH-B083L(SB01)), HDMI
CAT6 Wired Network: TV Panasonic TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407

You are so right and I appoligize.
We in Canada often feel that we are discriminated against as it takes for ever to obtain services such as Netflix. However my thoughts are just foolish as I know most of the issues are related to copy rights etc.

I was not meaning to insult anyone personally but frustration at times gets the uperhand.

As far as NMT goes it is a lack of understanding the device or software that gives me a headache and certainly not your fault or anyone else on this Forum.

Again sorry and as far as flags are concerned I am unfamiliar with most country flags.

OK then, not the USA flag. I also researched PCH and thought it supported Netflix,....so I am wrong, no harm in that.

A big chunk of business for pch is outside the US/canada so something like netflix is not appealing to them as a selling point for the product.
