RE: NMJ Editor [Web based]
I've got the same problem. I see the mapped drives incl. the NAS (see http://imagestore.ugbox.net/image/folder...c4b2.jpg), but cannot enter it.
Actually, whatever I click at, I see the sctructure (see http://imagestore.ugbox.net/image/folder...4fa15.jpg)

RE: NMJ Editor [Web based]
Hi

It look very cool and I Hope it will work as expected!!!

First, for the moment I have some problems with the GUI: in firefox the bottom of the windows is missing, may be because my screen is 16/9 format?
But I see the missing part under IE7.

But as I have differences with GUI, I have differences with Code because in IE7 I have a javascript error message and all the fields of the selected film are empty, only the film list is populate.
In firefox I see the selected film information but I can't edit anythings.

Can you tell us witch browser you use ?
and tell us what are the features that works for the moment????

Great job
Thank you

In v0.0.1, fanart/posters will not work. It requires some more tweaking.

I have tested in my Google Chrome portable. Possibly it should work on IE8 & firefox. I'll check and update. Currently features are listed on page 1.

It is a web based tool, the client side (pc or mac) requires only a browser. So it should work already.

RE: NMJ Editor [Web based]
The NMJManager appears to render best in the Google Chrome/Chromium and Safari browser on my Mac, and not so good with Firefox.

Firefox 3.6.12 (Mac)

Safari 5.0.2 (Mac)

In none of the browser I can't get it to load a new fanart poster, presently missing. Is this feature working for others?
I'm following the naming convention (File.fanart.jpg), the permissions of the file is OK, owner is nmt:nmt and the file located next to the .avi file.

(Yes, I know the scraped info from NMJ/IMDB is wrong ;-) )

It works fine for me, because I am using the nmj_import tool. I have a question. If you have your poster in place, you won't have a thumbnail to display on the wall under nmj_database directory?. Because, it will lead to performance issue. Assume, if you have a poster of size 500x800 which takes some time to render, if you have n number of posters on the wall, surely it will be slow comparing to use a 124x180 size image. Am I right?. Because, I found if you have a poster, I found the THUMBNAIL_DATA sqlite3 field NULL. Is it same for you too?

In my case I have no poster, only 1 fanart picture.

This *.fanart.jpg was added after the initial nmj scan, because it didn't find any poster or fanart. I assume there is no thumbnail created or linked in the present media.db when I ran NMJManager.

I'm sure you are right, but I guess performance depends upon the number of posters on the wall, and how much pre-fetching and rendering/generating of images the code does?

I created the screenshot fanart picture with ffmpeg image framegrab. Without manipulation it is 16 KB from 696×516 pixels (NTSC?). As opposed to posters, fanart is intended for full screen, so I think that's a quite OK size.

That I haven't checked, I'll have to fire up the SQLiteBrowser. (Since the thumbnail isn't created -in my case not for poster nor fanart- I assume that it is null.)

RE: NMJ Editor [Web based]
(11-11-2010 12:08 PM)vaidyasr Wrote:  NMJ Manager - A web based utility to edit the existing NMJ Database from anywhere via browser.

Please note right now the utility supports ONLY movies. may be others in future.

Guide:
a) Click 'Select Source...' button to select your USB/SATA drive which contains movies.(You don't have to select the nmj_database folder). It will select automatically the media.db from the respective drive.
b) To edit the synopsis, select the movie and edit/replace the text in synopsis text area and click save on the top.
c) To Delete a movie from DB, select the movie and click delete. This will delete all relevant entry for the movie from the DB excluding the video_person & director.
d) To replace the movie with some other movie, for example if NMJ found a movie which is not the actual, you can replace the imdbid with the correct one and press enter. Or you can even type the movie to search in IMDB and press enter. The movie in DB will be changed if found one.

v0.0.1 features:
1. Edit and save the synopsis of existing movies.
2. Delete any movie (delete only from DB and not from Disk).
3. Replace the existing wrong movie by entering the IMDBid (and press enter) or enter the search string (press enter) will change the current movie.

v0.0.2 features:
1. Add/Edit/Remove Genres.
2. Add/Edit/Remove Keywords.
3. Add/Edit/Remove Cast/Director.
4. Full edit of all movie details including title, year...
5. Add/Remove Poster/Fanart.

Download Link: http://c200utils.googlecode.com/files/nmj_v0.0.1.zip
You can install via CSI manual install.

Is your program assuming that the NMJ is data base is residing on the PCH?
My data base is on a NFS share on an external drive off of a PC at 192.168.1.5
I do not find any source section to get to the correct drive, 192.168.1.9:j:MoviesMain,
or = the same is a samba share at DYGERT1:MoviesMain

I haven't implemented for movies stored in NAS/network. But it works fine on internal/external USB disk.

Further improvement, not yet released.
1. Add/Remove Genre.
2. Add/Remove Keywords.
3. Add/Remove Director.

You can select the cast/director/genre/keywords by either selecting the existing or you can enter new.
