If the case is your MPD client does not run stable, use the NMT community installer to do a full (deep) clean of your NMT. In my cast all hard drive content and settings of the NMT remained in place and after the install of MPD/ MPD audioplug in everything works stable, ie great stuff! Note that all my apps such as dropbear and telnetd were note installed anymore. |

RE: Music Player Daemon (MPD) 2010-04-04 v0.15.9
Hello,
I am trying to install this for the first time on my A-110. I am following the instructions on the first post. I am running CSI 2.7.0 on Windows XP. The installation fails with the following: cannot open /share/Apps//appinfo.json: no such file I have been googling around and searching the forums but can't find a solution. It looks to me like the appname is missing or something. This is the foll log: Found hardware type: Syabas A/B type Found hardware type: Syabas A/B type Application Initializer version 1.12 --------------------------------------- Checking for new version: up to date Checking Application Initializer profile: Valid Installing application from file /share/mpd.tar: /opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/HARD_DISK/Apps/AppInit/appinit.cgi: line 1: cannot open /share/Apps//appinfo.json: no such file Failed Any info is appreciated! Although I was able to install the MPD without errors, it didn't run stable until I started with a (deeply) clean reinstall of my NMT. Did you start the installation from a deeply cleaned NMT? |

RE: Music Player Daemon (MPD) 2010-04-04 v0.15.9
I havent. I saw referenced to that but was reluctant to since I didn't know if that could be destructive.
I did find another version with manual install instructions - by telnetting, untarring and running an install.sh. I did that. There were a couple errors but seems to be working. And it's only crashed once so far ;-) |

RE: Music Player Daemon (MPD) 2010-04-04 v0.15.9
Can someone please tell me how to create an empty database? I have installed mpd but it tells me there is no database. I have found references to running mpd with a --create-db switch but it's not working.
Thanx |

It take a while for the mpd to process all music files, For some reson it hangs when there is to many files so i put at first ~100 mp3s there after that i added about 1000 a time and refreshed. worked here maybe it will work for you too. |

RE: Music Player Daemon (MPD) 2010-04-04 v0.15.9
I have compiled the latest version of MPD (0.16)'s, experts can grab it here (it's a binary, you'll need to replace the 0.15.x binary and plugin yourself), unfortunately, it does not seem to play nice with AlanH's latest plugin. I'm not seeing an explicit crash, but the server simply stops responding.
I have no idea where to start looking, I'm not sure if AlanH is still around. |

Just so I understand, alanH's latest plugin that you are referring to is the one he released on April 7, 2010, is that correct? See this post. It is supposed to be compatible with the I will give it a try and see what happens. Thanks. |
