I've tried that, but all It downgrades the firmware, not the NMT version.
I've installed firmware 02-03-101006-21-POP-408-000, that went fine. But, the NMT version is still 02-04-101104-21-POP-408.

Because you do not understand... upgrading/downgrading is two step process.

The first step is just the firmware... next is the NMT Apps.

You have to install old NMT, check here: http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...g#NMT_Apps (use "typical" action, as "fresh" shall erase your hdd or usb key)

Each firmware release is dedicated to its own NMT Apps version and must be installed together. However December firmware has an exception and is using the same old NMT Apps that came from November firmware (read the release notes).

Please try to read what is written in the WiKi: http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...g#NMT_Apps (that applies to downgrading and upgrading NMT apps). Remember, firmware and NMT apps verisions must match to each other or NMT apps shall not work.

You can separately install any NMT Apps verisions you like... however they shall not work at all. You must use the one that come with the current firmware release.

I just upgraded to the c200 from the a100. I installed a hard drive with media on it but without any NMT application files. I updated to this firmware but the application install wizard didn't automatically start.

I attempted to do a manual install of the applications (the media install because I don't want to format my drive) but the screen after I select my destination just forces a reboot saying the applications installed successfully. This is not true though because I never got to select the source files and there are no applications available after restart.

Any help is appreciated.

Nevermind. I figured out that I can't avoid a format of the HD. Thanks.

Yes you can avoid. Buy a 4 GB USB stick, enter it into the internal USB socket (requires opening the C200 cover), install NMT applications to the stick and keep your HD drive formatted as NFTS.

I used a smallish 2.5" disk I had laying around and installed it with my 2tb drive. Now I'm having an issue with it staying connected to the network. It seems like the SAMBA server is hanging up. When I try to stop and restart it it says the service is stopping forever which then requires that I pull the plug to reset the box to get it to respond again. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get it to connect to the network consistently?

First, uninstall Windows Live, which has its own understanding how Samba should work.

Looks like Syabas is overwhelmed by number of major bugs found in the new sdk firmware

Was it too high price to pay just for NMJ interface?

If NMJ was the only reason, then yes. NMJ still results in my players to getting stuck in a loop every time I try to use it. Even if I don't start NMJ, the time from cold start to usable player is extended by about ten seconds ever since NMJ was included. I wish that there was some way of totally deactivating NMJ (other than reverting to older firmware).
