This update was to update the Bluray keys and licensing. No other bug fixes were included because its not part of the same firmware that gets updates for normal bugs. they will come with the next update. You will have to have this update though to get any other update after.

Yes i know i´m an ass Angle hmm wait 5 letters idiot or is it moron hmm tell me if i'm close Big Grin
What do i win if i was right (networkspeed)Tongue
And will probably be one a couple of more times too if they can't get the networkspeed, ftp fixed (it´s been 6+ months).
So i will make 1 or 2 (depends on answers, questions) post in every FW tread until it is fixed and probably make a tread asking them that have had the same issue and did update (when syabas claims they fixed it) if it really is fixed so i'm not getting stuck on a none working FW (for how long is anyones guess).

Sure i can buy that the speed issue is a sdk issue.

And i have no ide at all how to leave a more detailed report then the router, settings, used protocol and how diffrent FW works wich i have done many times over.
The 2 things i just thought off now is ping times on different FW one that work and one that don't which i don't remember what i do remember is that they did not differ much 10-20ms at most.
And what os did you use on the streaming machine (which for me have been win7,32,64 bit and 3 different linux xbmc live, freenas and ubuntu) (and 3 diffrent computers win7,xbmclive,ubuntu have been tested on all 3) and there have been no change in speed at all between them using smb, nfs, nfs tcp, http, ftp (so i'm pretty sure that this don't have anything at all to do with it)
When using the 1 year old FW there is a bit off speed change from diffrent os,computers, protocol (not much but they are there unlike they are on new FW)
Any pointers for a more detailed report?

But NOT the ftp crashing since many get it to work by updating the pureftp client (for me only lundftp works) so why does it have to take over 6+ months before they update the client in the nmtappsHuh
This should have been solved the next FW (5 months ago) since it is really simple fix and not 6+ months
Bug report for the ftp crashing is that really needed since it is kind off well known about that here and it is a fault in the specific pureftp verison the fault lies?

I have been reading here that there are more people that have the same experience as me (low speed on new FW,High on older FW) so a small warning not to update if you stream (and have speed issue on new FW) is needed otherwise they maybe stuck new FW and can't view anything but low bitrate content.
Imagine how it would be on the board if 30-40 or even more people do update and can't stream HQ anymore (and don't have a internal drive they can use) i don't think they would be happy waiting for the fix in maybe the next FW (or maybe that would speed up the fix?).

And sell my pch why i only have 2 (3) problems right now.
1, network speed on new FW.
Which is not an issue on old FW.

2, Audio out of sync issues on older FW (which i did complain alot about back then but was almost alone on that)
But on new FW that is fixed (hmmm why have a none existent issue been fixedHuhUndecidedSmileBig GrinTongue )

3, Ftp crashing.
But this have been eliminated since i built a nas and moved all hd's to that (mmmmm no more hd spinning sound).

1 means i can't use the pch at all since 98% of all content is to high bitrate for my low networkspeed.
2 means i'm going half crazy since i hate OOS but atleast i can watch something

I have been thinking about getting an a-200,210 for the bedroom for a around 2 months now.
But i guess i have to wait a bit longer.

And sorry that i did upset you by accident there Big Grin

Just to support grizzly666's posts.

Network problem are known for YEARS (from the time when I'm own my C200 - january '10). And everytime a new firmware thread started at this forum - this bug are described in thread by grizzly666 or any other users. IN EVERY FIRMWARE THREAD!

I'm personally started own thread in a "Bugs/Requests" section on the forum. And other users starts the same own threads. Yes, maybe we're not organized an "one and only" thread with the poll, but this problem make sad a lot of us.

I can't speak about FTP problem (because i don't use it on a PCH), but a high speed torrent download problem is a my "stick in a wheel". For 1,5 years i must hope and pray about hanging of the PCH, about not freezing while watching movie with a girlfriend or about finishing, not freezing, at nighttime download.

Reading the some last posts I'm understood that it'll be fixed in the next update. I'm very-very hoping on it!

PS grizzly666's posts is a "despair shout", and I'm understood him. Network device must work in a network!

PPS Updated successfully after LTU uninstall.

Whilst I will admit network has been an issue in the past here (and I'm talking about streaming Blu-ray, not crappy re-encode) - there are no issues at present here via SMB.

Flash, this issue isn't the frustration with grizzy's desire for better networking.

The issue is since the 3d firmware has come out syabas said they would attack the lengthy bug list with the beta team including the networking issues but it would not happen in 1 WOOHOO it's fixed firmware and it would take multiple. Some also need sigma involved as the code is part of stuff syabas can't change without them. there's another firmware in that series and grizzly has decided it's his personal quest to be as counterproductive in the matter as possible..

He needs to STFU about this already or start posting some helpful information in an on topic thread to make sure his personal networking situation isn't skipped because he can't be bothered helping out.. At this point, the next firmware is going to come out and he's still going to be broken because all he does is rant and there is nothing useful in the posts to make sure his particular issue is addressed..

From where I sit, he's not happy with the product or the company's way of doing business so why is he still a customer.

He's a gnat, counterproductive, nothing good comes from his posts and it's never gonig to get fixed because nobody who can fix it will bother reading them.. If he can't control himself then it's time to go, act mature in the matter and as someone in this community I have no problem saying F OFF.

On the other side of things, when you are helpful in tracking things down they get fixed pretty quick when possible..

End of chat now please guys. I know it is annoying having in the past taken the time and trouble to explain what is happening with regards issues like FTP to then have that information either completely ignored or worse manipulated.

FTP fix will be in next firmware aka firmware C.

No more. It will be deleted and warnings issued.

Thank you, finally a succincint explanation of the upgrade. I for one find the descriptions of these firmwares and their explanations severly lacking. I am of the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" school of thought, so simple explanations of the implications or reason for the installation are important, I don't have time or the inclination to read throigh 50+ posts to weed out answers to what should be basic questions.

So cheers to you halfelite for cutting through the chaff.

Does anyone experienced "pause and then little FF" video issue in the several last firmwares?

1-3 firmwares ago I'm start experiencing following: during movie watch video and sound as though pauses for a few seconds and then video(no sound at this moment) fforwarding to the movie point (it must be a point where timeline must be without "pausing"). After fforwarding video starts to play in the normal state and sound resumes too.

For me it occurs when i watch BD's or BD-Remuxes one or two times by movie and sometimes during watching MKV BD rips (one or zero times by movie).

Does anyone know what is it and how to fix it?

PS I'm very happy PCH owner! =)

Thought I would add my results...
Do not have LTU package with CSI app installed. Just cleared the Cache and ran the updates, no issues.
I do have a question...(Sorry, I'm a newbie and trying to get a handle on some of the terminology, if I'm in the wrong thread and someone could point me in the right direction, that would be great!) I've been having issues with "Bad Disc Region" with Blu-ray's released in 2011. Should this firmware update with the renewal of the AACS Key resolve this?

Two movies with issues thus far were "The Kings Speech" and "The Way Back" both were rentals, so I do not have them on hand to test...
Thanks...

Just upgrade.... there is no harm even if you have totally forgotten that you did install LTU...

Hello, I've too no LTU and CSI apps installed on my C200? I've just cleared the cache without unmount physically my internal HD, and the firmware update ran perfectly. No issue occured.
