It was discussed at length with Syabas and it's just not possible.

not possible never meant it would happen either with Syabas.

The hardware is unable to decode those, the cpu isn't strong enough to decode it instead. it's not technically possible for the units to play them.

Its sad to see the lack of updates on the GUI, i have not much to complain about the A-200 but i would like to see a refresh of the user interface...
Its not a perfect "box" but it would be good if it had a "final" firmware update...

I have 2 A-210 and mostly they work as expected. My main concern is that I have more than one NAS that I want to multi mount to from each box and that is not possible today. Now I have waited for 8 months since the last update and I must say that I am really disappointed on PCH and their view of support on their products.

I myself work for an application provider and we have our app dev department in Vietnam. It would NEVER occur to us to basically close down support/dev for 2 weeks just because Tết is based on the Chinese Calender.

If I worked at PCH I would immediately start a company run forum and help the customers and potential customers and not just rely on existing users to help each other to sort out whats wrong with our product.

I´ve had Tvix, Qnap, WD and Netgear media players before these 2 that I currently have in my home setup so I´m not new to either poor functionality or even bad players and bad support.

I would like a response from a PCH employee when we can expect the new fw update for the A-200/A-210s. Can someone rely this request to PCH Marketing Manager / Sales Manager so that he/she can get the information from whomever that has the responsibility within PCH and respond within a fashionable timeframe?

It would be nice if we could get a timeframe for new firmware release for A-200/A210, so we could tell our kids and future generations in which decade to expect it. A few pages back someone posted that support for A-200/A210 was no more and i was shocked until someone else said it aint so. Now i wish they would just come out and say that its over so we could all move to better things instead refreshing the same damn page every few days.
I still believe that popcorn has great video quality output but everything else is way below average.

I would really appreciate if you can point that post out for me. The last post I can find from Werner in this thread is dated from the 29th of May 2011 and it does not mention anything about what to expect.
