Wi-fi Card
I bought the wifi card for the C300, but can't seem to find any option to enable wireless internet within the setup section?

What FW are you using?

Looks like there is a problem with Wi-Fi and last FW (http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...70&page=6)

Samsung UE46D8000 - Yamaha YSP-2200 - Denon PMA-1510 - Cambridge Audio DacMagic Plus - B&W 603 S3 - PCH A-300 - Netgear Ultra 4 Plus 9TB - Cisco WAG320N - Netgear GS108 - Netgear XAV5001 - Logitech Harmony One

RE: Wi-fi Card
I just updated to latest version
My C300 does not recognize the wifi card or either of the hard drives I installed. They`re both SATA2 2.5in 5400rpm drives.

Is there something going on?
Ok, well... I tested the two Seagate Momentus drives in my other C300 (which has an older Seagate Momentus SATA HDD in it) and the C300 never recognized either of them.

The ones I got are:
Seagate Momentus 7200.4 320GB 2.5IN SATA 7200RPM 16MB Hard Drive OEM
Seagate Momentus 5400.6 500GB 5400RPM 8MB Cache 2.5IN Notebook Hard Drive OEM

neither are detected by both of my C300.

I also can't even get the C300 to detect a wireless option in network setup.

Maybe I installed the card wrong? Here is a picture:

RE: Wi-fi Card
As the poster above has already told you the MN200 does NOT work with the current firmware. Whether your card os a MN200 or not you will know.

Take the wifi card out.

Make sure that you first format any HDD in a PC. Use NTFS or similar its not really important.

Then place the HDD in the player and connect power and data cables. Then download the correct version of the NMT Apps file apps.nmt and use a USB stick install the NMT Apps onto the HDD. Follow the A300 manual instructions.

A400: SD Card(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD ROM (SH-B083L(SB01)), HDMI
CAT6 Wired Network: TV Panasonic TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407

A FW update completely disabled the ability to use the wifi card? Rolleyes That's practical. I just ordered another WNDR2700 router to serve as an AP and I'll just plug the C300 into it... can't be constantly worrying the wifi card will go out every FW update, that is stupid.

As for HDD, thanks a lot for the tip. I had not formatted it in a PC before. Fixed the issue.

This is my 4th PH and over the past three years (first was A-110), and on top I've converted four people to the PH cult. I gotta say this product launch is a little messy. I'm not usually an early adopter but figured the 3rd generation would be smooth sailing.

That, and I still haven't made NMJ work at all. It updates library for about 35 minutes then errors out... same thing happens over SMB or NFS. Very frustrating.

So now I'm rebuilding a YAMJ library to be ran from my ZFS NAS and will use the app instead.

Thanks for your help!

RE: Wi-fi Card
I think they thought that introducing disc playback was more of a gain than losing wifi mini-pci. Actually from what I read they didnt know it was broke until users reported it. Downside of no beta testing and releasing straight to the open masses I suppose.

You are better using a Wireless access point in any case. Using WiFi is a general no-no in media streaming. You get the best performance using NFS and ethernet to a AP. Thereafter the mini-pci wifi card and finally the worse wifi performance via a USB dongle.

You need a connection for NMJ to scrape. So until you connect your NMJ creation wont work.

My NMJ attempt was on my first C300 and it is connected directly via ethernet with a cat5e to a gigabit switch. It definitely had connectivity, it just took forever, then nothing happened (errored out). NFS has been giving me issues constantly with all my PH regardless of model. SMB less so, but again, didn't work with NMJ.

My movie collection extends beyond 300 movies, all of them 1080p or 720p bluray rips that I did. Some TV shows (about 2TB worth). All have NFO files from back when I used YAMJ, so I don't know why it'd take NMJ over an hour to try building a library, then report an error.

RE: Wi-fi Card
It'll take NMJ longer than an hour as it has to create the database and scrape the information. Thereafter though it's a quick check to see if any entries have changed since the last scan and if they have only those entries are scraped. Takes around a couple of mins to add a movie.

You need to follow the naming guides for NMJ from the NMJ forum sub-section.

You also need to ensure that if your scanned share location is READ ONLY that you have a NMT Apps install for it to write the nmj_database folder. If the location is writeable then you could have got caught up in the recent server downtime issues or you could have some tricky files that are causing problems. I also seem to think that SMB scans only werew working at one time but not 100% as to whether that was just the A300.

Let it scan again and I always choose scan Entire Contents as the option. That way you don't ever risk the 'share is no longer available' error when you only scan certain folders.

I was a YAMJ user but am really starting to like NMJ, using NMJToolBoxv2 from ROM helps with those one or two tricky entries.

Hi, I've just bought MN-200 and tried to install it in my C-300. Before that, I have installed the newest version of firmware (21.02.2012). Still see no option for choosing wireless connection in setup menu. I tried to get back to the version from December, it also didn't help. Is there any way to check if C-300 detects the MN-200 to be sure that my new card (or slot) is not damaged?
